May is Asthma & Allergy Awareness Month — and our pets can suffer from allergies too!

Just like people, dogs and cats can experience seasonal and environmental allergies that leave them uncomfortable. Common signs can include:
• Excessive itching or licking
• Red or irritated skin
• Ear infections
• Sneezing or watery eyes
• Chewing at paws

If your pet seems extra itchy this spring, we’re here to help. Allergy symptoms can often be managed with the right treatment plan so your pet can get back to feeling their best!

Mother’s Day is this weekend, and we want to celebrate all the amazing moms out there — especially the pet moms 🤍

As a team made up of many moms ourselves, we know just how deep the love and care for your family — furry family included — truly goes.

The ones who never forget the treats, make room in the bed, worry when something seems off, and love their pets like family.

Whether your babies have two legs or four, we see the care, patience, and love you give every day.

🌡️🐾 Hot Weather Reminder from Armstrong Veterinary Clinic 🐾🌡️

With the weather heating up and some hot days ahead in the forecast, it’s a good time to think about keeping your pets safe in the warmer temperatures.

🚗 Never leave your pet in a parked car — even for a few minutes. Temperatures inside can rise dangerously fast, even on what feels like a mild day.

🌳 Make sure your pets always have access to shade and fresh water when spending time outdoors.

🐕 Plan walks for cooler parts of the day like early morning or evening — hot pavement can burn paws and heat exhaustion can happen quickly.

💦 Know the signs of heatstroke: excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or lethargy. If you notice any of these, seek veterinary care right away.

❤️ A little extra caution goes a long way in keeping your pets happy, healthy, and safe this season.
