LISA DUNCKLEY HAS BEEN SENTENCED!

We would like to thank Deputy District Attorney Tracy Griffin for her tireless efforts throughout this case. Unfortunately, Lisa Dunckley was allowed to change attorneys multiple times, which contributed to the lengthy adjudication process.

Here are the main points of her sentence:

Dunckley pled to two counts of felony animal abuse. She was sentenced to 30 days in jail. She is prohibited from owning, possessing, controlling, caring for, or handling any horses, donkeys, mules, or livestock for ten years from the date of conviction. She is also barred from employment at any ranch, stable, or barn involving the care or transport of equine animals. She is permitted to keep her dog, Summer. Dunckley is on probation and subject to search and seizure by law enforcement or probation officers. Additionally, she will make restitution payments to Oakdale Equine Rescue for the costs of caring for and providing veterinary treatment to the seized horses.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Stanislaus County Deputy District Attorney Tracy Griffin for her dedication to this case!

Every once in awhile we share this publication, and since we have a number of new friends (Welcome!) it's time to post it again.

This is a booklet we were proud to write for the WA State Noxious W**d Board. It was the brain child of E2E's good friend Alison Halpern, and we were delighted to be able to have a hand in its creation.

We think it's a really good resource for pasture stewards: sixty pages of great information focused on toxic plants in equine pastures, their effects on other grazing animals, clinical signs of toxicity, methods of control, IPM (Integrated Pest Management), pasture management, w**d-free hay and even a page on chickens.

While we know that many here don't live in the Pacific Northwest region of the US, these plants are found in many areas, including some in the UK, Australia, and NZ. Pasture and w**d management techniques are equally applicable everywhere.

It's accessible and downloadable here:https://www.nwcb.wa.gov/pdfs/Final-WSNWCB-toxic-booklet_low_res.pdf

For free hard copies, contact the WA NWCB here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LZ688S2

We're proud to have been part of the publishing of this valuable resource. Please bookmark, download, or order it, and pass it on!
