⭐️ Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This position requires prior horse experience and the ability to work efficiently in a high-energy environment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a busy equine setting.

⭐️ Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist veterinarian with examinations and treatments
• Safely handle and restrain horses
• Prepare and maintain treatment areas and equipment
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces
• Support daily clinic operations and farm calls as needed
• Communicate professionally with clients and team members
• Perform general barn and clinic duties
• Stock and organize vet truck

⭐️ Qualifications:
• Prior horse experience required
• Previous veterinary assistant experience preferred (Equine) (on job training is an option for the right person)
• Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic
• Neat, organized, and detail-oriented
• Able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working around large animals
• Ability to work outdoors year round in all weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to and from work

⭐️Moffat Equine Services is hiring a Part Time Staff Member to join our team! 🐴

⭐️ Unfortunately our lovely evenings and weekends girl is relocating so we are looking to fill her position 😊

⭐️ We’re looking for someone reliable, hardworking, and confident around animals and equipment.

⭐️ Position Details:

Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
Also includes afternoon work approximately 3:30 to 7pm, Tuesdays and Thursdays must be flexible with these hours.

⭐️ Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Feeding, watering, and graining horses and cattle
• Cleaning stalls and pens (on weekends)
• Keeping barn tidy
• Raking up loose hay
• Saddling and un saddling horses
• Putting horses on exerciser
• Hosing horses off
• Exercising horses
• Operating farm machinery/equipment (e.g., tractor, gator)
• Rotating pasture irrigation during spring/summer months
• Blanketing
• Turning horses in and out of stalls/pasture
• Assisting with horse handling for veterinary care (if experienced)
• Monitoring animal health and reporting concerns

⭐️ Requirements:
• Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs (e.g hay bales, dumping wheel barrows, filling grain bin, dumping water troughs)
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
• Horse experience required; cattle and equipment experience are assets
• Team player, punctual, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently
• Must have reliable transportation

⭐️ Compensation:
• Hourly wage based on experience
