Holly’s post PEMF feels ✨

Right after PEMF, the nervous system is still adjusting to the stimulation.
A few minutes of twitching is a very common sign of muscles rebalancing.

PEMF increases blood flow. As tissues warm and oxygenate, you can see brief twitching just like after a deep massage.

If your horse had tight or stuck fascia, the session may cause delayed release usually lasting just a few minutes afterward.

Some horses are more reactive and keep responding even after the coil is removed, but only temporarily. Which is what Holly is experiencing here.

“Meanwhile, my horse’s self-care routine costs more than my rent.
He gets massages, essential oils, and sound baths — I get to hold his water bucket.

But in all seriousness, regular equine massage has some real benefits 👇🏻

• Improves circulation – Delivers oxygen and nutrients to muscles and joints.

• Relieves tension & soreness – Especially after training, long rides, or competition.

• Enhances flexibility & range of motion – Keeps them moving freely and comfortably.

• Supports recovery – Speeds up healing after exercise or injury.

• Reduces stress & anxiety – Promotes relaxation and calmness.

• Boosts performance – A relaxed, limber horse performs more confidently.

• Improves posture & balance – Helps correct muscular imbalances.

Because if they’re working hard, they deserve to feel their best too. 🐴✨”

Who We Are

Willow Ridge Equine was started by Carly Ingeveld just northwest of Airdrie, AB. She started this company in hopes to assist other riders in getting their horses feeling and looking their absolute best. She took an interest in the anatomy and structure of equine athletes, which lead to where we are now. Carly has been involved with horses her entire life, and at age 9 became competitively involved. She has shown Reining horses for 7 years, and has recently ventured into the Barrel Racing world. Carly takes pride in her horses’ health and well-being, making sure her equine athletes are in optimal performance condition. Preventing injury is at the top of the list, along with internal health, and body condition. Carly is nearly finished her 2200 hour RMT course. She also is in her second year of schooling at BCCET Equine Sports Therapy program, to further her skills and knowledge to best help your equine athletes.

Willow Ridge Equine partners with a local horse trainer, Morgan Cooper of MC Performance Horses. Morgan is an accomplished trainer that started her business 5 years ago. She has been riding since she could walk, or maybe even before. Morgan takes so much pride in what she does and treats horses like they are her own. She specializes in barrel horses, which she runs competitively at jackpots and local rodeos. We are very glad to have Morgan as a part of our team!
