My Dot!! Another best neuter in show line up yesterday. Loves her frilly show ribbons and making us wait till the last class at the end of the show. 4 best neuter in show awards this year alone, I have lost count of how many group wins. Wouldn't know this girl is nearly 10! Just need to finish that agility championship Dot!

My dogs have won 9 bags of these biscuits. Unfortunately they dont agree with Wish. That means nobody gets them. The dogs and I have agreed, if we can sell these then I will bake the ones they can eat. So 9 750gm bags available. $15 each (cash only) Can deliver with grooming

Not taking new clients or unscheduled grooming (dogs not on a permanent schedule) for the next month or so.

Unfortunately last Wednesday I was badly bitten on my left hand by a new dog. I went to ER and they cleaned the wounds very well but told me to go to Redcliffe for surgery. Some of you have been with me a while and went through the cat bite that put me in hospital about 6yrs ago. Not doing that again. I went to my doctor on Thursday who also said surgery immediately. I have a huge issue with hospitals and the ER was more than enough. Fast forward to this week and I struggled through my work on monday and Wednesday one handed. On Tuesday I did go to the PA where a friend works after she showed a hand surgeon the photos and videos of my hand. I saw the surgeon who is concerned there is nerve damage and recommended surgery but there is a 3 day wait. There doesnt look to be infection in the worst wound at this point but given the position and the 2.5cm depth to the bone it is going to take a long time to heal. I have to go back to surgeon next thursday for reassessment. Unfortunately im not out of the woods in regards to surgery or infection yet. I am late on sending confirmation texts this week as I was worried I wouldn't be able to work.
I have been working one handed and covering my injuries with gloves as best I can. I sucked up the pain this week and managed to hold legs to trim feet and nails but am paying for that today. I will get everyone done but I am slower and alot more tired and have been running a little behind times.

Comments on the dog or owners will not be tolerated. Neither is at fault. I believe this injury was a result of the dog's previous life before being rescued by current owner. Bites happen, I get at least one minor one a month. Its one of the delightful perks of my job, along with p**s, p**p and a**l glands..

I'll be back taking new and unscheduled clients as soon as possible. Thanks everyone

Last night Dottie and I competed in the Neuter Dog of The Year Qld finals. To qualify for the finals you must win a Best Neuter in Show in the year (2025). Dottie only did 8 shows last year but still managed a Best Neuter in Show win. Only 36 dogs made the finals for Qld in 2025.
We made it through the first two rounds of judging to make the top 8 in the state. Unfortunately we were knocked out by the Sheltie. Dot turns 9 on Saturday and was one of the oldest dogs entered. She was my first home-bred Entire champion. She finished her title at 9month old and finished her Neuter title in 3 weekends at the beginning of 2024. She was also no.1 Neuter border collie for Qld 2024. In 2025 I focused on titling her son Scout, her Daughter Destiny and my youngest, Wish. Dot focused on sports more in 2025.

My dogs Love their daily cucumbers cold from the fridge. Cucumbers are great for human and dog health. I grow my own.

For those asking when they are booked next year...... I have just done my schedule instead of watching TV. (Its more than a handful of people) I have had 2 days off. I did over 200 dogs in 7 days!!! I will send out first appointment dates Tomorrow.
Its not often I dont have my ducks in a row... but I have been just a little bit wrecked.
