From our humble beginnings as a small one-man practice in Willunga over 35 years ago, Willunga & Aldinga Vets has grown to a team of 11 vets and 17 nurses. We all have various interests, which allows us to cater for a range of species including small animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits, ferrets, birds and native wildlife, through to farm animals such as cattle, sheep and alpacas. We offer a full r

ange of services to the southern Fleurieu Peninsula from health checks and vaccinations through to radiography, ultrasonography, and surgery. Our Vets and Nurses are very approachable and willing to help when you require our assistance.

The warmer months are on their way — is your pet ready?

Spring is a great time to get a few important things sorted before summer arrives:

✅ Health check up to date
✅ Vaccinations checked
✅ Flea, worm and parasite prevention reviewed
✅ Regular medications organised
✅ Microchip and contact details current
✅ Summer and emergency plans sorted

Also think about what changes for your pet over summer. Will they be spending more time at the beach, dog parks, walking trails, boarding facilities or travelling with you?

And if you have a short-nosed or flat-faced dog, now is a good time to think about how well they cope with exercise and warmer weather.

Meet Chewy (aka Chewbacca) 🐾💛

Chewy recently came in for our Dental Month special, starting the day with pre-anaesthetic bloods before her dental procedure.

Afterwards, while waking up from her general anaesthetic, she was feeling a little floppy and a tiny bit bitey 😆 — so Nurse Emily had her safely swaddled up like the cutest little Chewy burrito.

Nothing like a warm wrap and some extra cuddles while you wake up. 🥰

There’s something pretty magical about helping bring a litter into the world… and then seeing them again six weeks later for their vaccinations and health checks. 🐶💛
Dr Ruby was there to help Gracie welcome her beautiful pups, and recently they were back at the clinic — a little bigger, a lot wrigglier, and just as adorable!
It’s always special getting to be part of those first moments, and even better watching them grow. 🥰🐾
