On Friday we lost one of the greatest, Phydeux.
We have put together a short summary of what was a wonderful life! 🤍
She arrived in September 2006 with her 2 brothers - one named 'Gutz' was taken by a nurse at the time and the other was rehomed.
Phydeux very much just made herself at home at the clinic, and everyone was smitten, so Vron our business owner/head vet allowed her to stay as the clinic cat 🐈 A naming poll was put out to clients and staff, and Phydeux was chosen as it very much suited her (she was a little bit fancy 🥰)
She very much settled into her 'role' at the clinic and spent her days split between socialising with clients and their pets in the waiting room and reassuring the hospital patients in recovery out the back 🩷
She always knew where the heat mats were and the best sunny spots. She loved to dig into the towels in the cupboard to make herself a cosy bed.
She loved her summer haircuts. She used to enjoy weekends away with her litter mate Gutz in the early days, then would charm many of the staff for weekends away at their homes over the years.
Eventually a love story came true, retiring with an old staff member living out her days in luxury. With her staffy best friend and as a purrfect companion to 2 young kids. She was one of a kind and had the best life with her fur-mum Bec 🐾
Phydeux was fearless and battled many health issues in her almost 19 years - patella surgery on both knees, thyroid issues, diabetes, osteoarthritis but she was always the purrfect patient and fought hard until the end 🤍
Rest in peace to our beloved Phydeux, we will all miss you terribly.
