Dougie's Legacy Animal Rescue is run by three friends Emma, Leanne, and Deb. We take on animals from the local animal shelter in Wagga as well as other shelters outside of Wagga. We also take in surrendered animals when the owners can no longer care for them to give them ALL another chance at a happy home. We take on foster carers who take animals into their home and care for them until we find th

e best home suited to each animal. We do our best to provide all vet work each animal needs while in our care and are a non-profit animal rescue. All donations go to our animals, for their vet work, food, and other related necessities they need while in care.

At just 9 months old, Reed is already showing a gentle spirit that sets him apart from the energetic crowd. As the brother to Morgan, Reed shares a special bond with his sibling, making him a wonderful addition to a family that appreciates the companionship shared between furry family members. 🐶

Reed's tender nature is apparent in every aspect of his character. Not only does he enjoy cuddle time on the sofa, but his loving demeanor makes it easy for him to bond with anyone who crosses his path. While he's already quite the charmer, Reed is still at a stage where he could use some guidance as he blossoms into his full potential. With a bit of training, he'll be well on his way to becoming an ideal companion for anyone who appreciates a devoted canine friend. 💕🐾

As Reed embarks on this next chapter of his life, he's on the lookout for a new family that will provide love alongside learning. 💔 We never thought we would be in this position, but right now we are desperately asking for help. 💔

Our rescue is currently drowning under more than $20,000 in vet debt.

Every single dollar of that debt represents an animal that needed us — kittens fighting infections, puppies needing emergency care, desexing, vaccinations, surgeries, injuries, abandoned animals that had nowhere else to go. We said yes because their lives mattered.

But the reality is catching up to us.

We are struggling to keep up with vet bills while still trying to feed, medicate, and care for the animals currently in foster care. Without help, we may be forced to slow down intake or turn animals away, and that is absolutely heartbreaking.

We know times are tough for everyone, but if you can spare even a few dollars, it would make a huge difference. Donations, sharing this post, fundraising ideas, or even supplies all help more than you know.

Please help us continue saving lives. 🐾

- Enjoys cuddling, walks, and interactive play
- Good with people and loves being involved in family activities.
Ideal Home Requirements - We’re seeking an active household that can provide:
1. Daily exercise and enrichment: Walks, playtime, and mental stimulation
2. Ongoing training and socialisation: Commitment to puppy school or similar programs
3. Family fit: Suitable for families with children experienced with dogs, and for homes with a patient, dog-savvy resident dog
4. Indoor living: Olive must be allowed to sleep inside as part of the family
5. Patient environment: A loving home committed to her continued growth and training.

Note: Olive has not been tested with cats.
