We’ve been feeling incredibly grateful lately.

The feedback we’ve been getting from so many of you in the shop has honestly meant the world to us.

To have people come in and tell us how well their dogs are doing — how much they’re loving their food, how they’re thriving, looking healthier, feeling better and simply enjoying life — is such an amazing feeling.

We put so much of ourselves into Majestik Pet Food.

There’s a lot of time, care and love that goes into every raw and cooked meal we make. We’re incredibly particular about the ingredients we use, making sure they’re as fresh, nutritious and wholesome as possible, with no unnecessary chemicals or preservatives.

At the end of the day, we make this food because we genuinely love dogs and want to give them the very best we can.

Dogs need variety and a good range of nutrients — and that’s exactly what our BARF meals are designed to provide.

❤️ Heart – rich in protein, iron, B vitamins and naturally occurring taurine.

🥩 Offal – packed with essential vitamins and minerals including vitamin A, B vitamins, iron, copper and other trace nutrients.

🐾 Thank you to everyone who placed an order for our southern run today! The truck left this morning and will be onsite at 10am. ❤️❤️

On a side note 🎶, shame on those having a go at our team for charging a delivery fee for a four-hour truck trip involving two staff. The fee barely covers 50% of our actual costs.

If you don’t have anything nice to say, please don’t say anything at all.

Southern Run customers — thank you so much for the fantastic response!

Now, I do need to address the $25 shared delivery fee.

Our margin on the food we sell is approximately 10%. That means every $1,000 worth of dog food sold contributes only around $100 towards keeping the business running—and $1,000 is a lot of dog food.

Onkaparinga is approximately 1.5 hours from us in the refrigerated truck. That’s a three-hour return trip, plus another hour with the truck and freezer running onsite while we safely hand over everyone’s orders.

The direct cost of each run is approximately:

• Fuel and running the refrigerated truck: $150
• Two staff members for four hours: $280
• Total: $430

That’s before maintenance, servicing, insurance and general wear on the truck.

Even with 10 orders paying $25 each, we collect only $250 and still have to cover the remaining $180 ourselves. We need at least 18 orders just to cover the direct cost of the run.

For anyone comparing our BARF at $8.50/kg with products costing $17/kg elsewhere, you’re saving $8.50 per kilogram. That means the entire $25 delivery fee is recovered within the first 3kg you purchase.

The delivery fee is not profit. It simply shares the cost of bringing everyone’s orders south while allowing us to keep our food prices as low as possible.

If the run doesn’t suit you, we completely understand—but please be respectful. We’re genuinely doing our best to provide quality dog food at affordable prices without losing money delivering it.

We’re loading the Majestik truck and heading south for a one-hour order pickup meetup this Friday. As organised with Salty Paws Australia
