A furcation is a early stage of periodontal disease where bone loss begins to become present between the roots of multi-rooted teeth (molars). Furcation's range from grade 1 (mild) to grade 3 (severe) which requires extraction.
What is a tooth root abscess?
A painful bacterial infection present at the root of the tooth, often caused with fracture or periodontal disease.
