A huge thank you to our friend and incredible photographer Deb from DK Imagery for capturing these beautiful photos of our babies and their gorgeous Mum 🥹🐾💕

Just a few weeks ago, this little family came into our care after being surrendered. Since then, they’ve been showered with love, good food, and plenty of TLC 🫶🏻

Now, these babies and their devoted mum are healthy, happy, and ready to find the forever homes they deserve 🫶🏻✨

Adoption includes vaccination (age appropriate), desexing, microchip, worm and flea treatments and a guarantee of unconditional love 🥹✨💙

This week, we said farewell to one of our beloved nurses, Holly 🫶🏻

Holly has been with our team for a long time, and has been instrumental in the growth and development of REDVET as a clinic. Her commitment to her patients and colleagues is second to none, and her kindness, dedication and calm presence will be deeply missed by everyone who has had the privilege of working alongside her 🥹

While we are sad to see her go, we are incredibly grateful for everything she has contributed over the years, and are so excited for the next chapter ahead for her and her family ✨

Holly, your impact on REDVET will be felt long after your last day. Thank you for everything, and good luck on your next adventure 💙🐾💖

✨ AVA Conference 2026 ✨

Last week, Abbey, Tara and David had the pleasure of attending the Australian Veterinary Association 2026 Conference 🐾

They caught up with veterinary and industry colleagues (swipe ➡️ for pics with two legends of the world, Drs David and Nick), attended some fantastic talks, and explored exciting new advances in treatments, technology and patient care that will benefit our REDVET patients 🐾

If your dog has eaten something toxic, stay calm and act quickly. ⚠️ Identify what they ate, how much, and when, as this is critical information for your vet. Do not induce vomiting at home unless directed by a vet.

Common toxins include chocolate, grapes, raisins, onions, xylitol, certain plants and human medications.

Congratulations 🙌 to Nurse Kira and her family on the arrival of their beautiful baby girl, Esther 💖

Less than a week after finishing up in her senior nursing role here at REDVET, Kira welcomed little Esther into the world 🫶🏻 We were half expecting an emergency two legged delivery in the clinic before she finished up! 😅

Kira is such a loved member of our team and we are absolutely thrilled for her gorgeous family. We know big brother Xavier will be doting on his new little sister, and we can’t wait for baby cuddles once everyone is settled in at home.

We miss you already Kira, but couldn’t be happier for you all 💖

A University of Queensland initiated degree is helping alleviate the strain on Australia’s busy veterinary clinics, but academics say industry reform is needed to solve the workforce crisis.

Graduates of UQ’s Bachelor of Veterinary Technology program work as key members of veterinary teams with a professional skillset between vet nurses and veterinarians.

Associate Professor Rebekah Scotney from the School of Veterinary Science said recognition for vet technologists would help reduce the workload of veterinarians and provide more time to help seriously ill and injured animals.

World Veterinary Day 2026: Meet Dr Niki

Dr Niki is one of our newer vets, joining the team in January 2025 after working in mixed practice in the gold coast hinterland. Niki however is no stranger to the Redlands. Growing up in the area she has returned to continue growing long-lasting relationships with local clients and their fur babies.

With an avid interest in both surgery and medicine, you’ll find Niki consulting as well as performing surgical procedures 🏥

When not at work you’ll find her doting to her golden retrievers, getting coffee and going for walks with her husband, family and friends 🐾

Dr Niki has been a wonderful addition to our team, adored by her colleagues and patients alike, and we are so grateful for the energy and expertise she brings to our clinic 💖🫶🏻💙
