Loaded up at this morning, open till 11AM at 378 Main Western Rd, Tamborine Mountain.

It was a much needed market garden day today! I cannot remember when was the last time we worked as a team in the garden. At least a year, Iā€™d say!

Citrus trees had a much needed trim, new lettuce bed made(huge thanks to Jaimi from growing seedlings for us), bit of weedingā€¦homemade banh mi for lunchā€¦

Oh how much I missed working in the gardenā€¦not rushed for a weekend harvesting, just a pure joyful moment of gardening on a warm sunny day.

I missed Zumba but my cup is full ā¤ļø

Meet the Alpha-gal(Syndrome) Family

and

We met each other via a mutual friend years ago.

We are neighbours, fellow farmers, suppliers and now have the same tick borne disease. The only person free from this disease in this photo is our daughter, H.

Although we are categorised as ā€˜Alpha-gal Syndrome a.k.a. mammalian allergyā€™ sufferers, our symptoms are all different. Close to no reaction to extreme reactions. No EpiPen needed to carry EpiPen all the time.

It was a long day sharing our experiences and realising we have so much in common growing up which was somewhat scary! Our kiddo made a bestie and it was a great day with laughters and tears.

Sadly, despite all our efforts to not expose any allergen to Carla, she later had reactions. However, sheā€™s determined to continue this family gathering.

Sheā€™s such a warrior, I cannot imagine how hard and scary itā€™d be being fume reactive & not knowing which exact allergen is giving her a reaction. I really wish her system settles down so that she can enjoy her life fully without any fear.

I will post more informative post re AGS but for now itā€™s time to hit the sack šŸ˜“

Weā€™re a bit short this week due to a bulk order, fresh mushroom order from our website is closed at the moment. Back open next week, note that your order this week is a preorder.

Thereā€™s also a shortage of lionā€™s mane - it was an expensive lesson we learned last week and we had to throw out a lot of blocks. They should be back on track in 2 weeks time, sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

In the meantime, Chef Brenden from .st.provedore is creating another epic menus using our mushrooms this weekend.
It will be a night with great wine, lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Cannot wait!
