Callie’s twins are growing up nicely & Molly in the background looks decidedly uncomfortabke so I think her lamb (or lambs) might be on their way.

Annie and her proud Mum, Frankie. Sorry to say that we lost Annie’s twin brother due to misadventure. Frankie is mothering Annie very well in every respect other than being a little reluctant to allow her feed which is very strange considering the one month old lambs born to Callie have been happily feeding from her for a few weeks😂. Thankfully, Annie is strong and with a little help to restrain Frankie’s hind leg, she gets a good drink. I’ll be on the two hourly feed wagon til things change.

Such a blessing this morning to wake & find that our Calico has delivered adorable twins & all are happy & healthy. Watched over by last year’s lambs, Calico has once again coped admirably on her own which is a huge relief for us having had some very troublesome lambing seasons with other ewes over the past few years.
Today is a particularly poignant moment because last year she was pregnant & then she wasn’t & she had to play great aunt to the lambs born to the other ewes & I felt so sad for her.

My job now will be to keep a close eye on them so that she gets to enjoy the fruits of her labours💗. Bless you Calico & your lambs🙏🏻
