💙 Locky Update 💙

Seven months ago, Locky couldn't walk.

Today, he's out exploring his backyard, sniffing the grass, investigating every corner, and enjoying the simple things that once seemed out of reach.

While I feel incredibly privileged to be part of his journey, the real credit belongs to his wonderful, dedicated owner. Recovery like this doesn't happen from a single treatment or appointment—it comes from months of unwavering love, commitment, patience, and showing up every single day for your pet.

Through the good days, the setbacks, and everything in between, Locky's mum never gave up on him. That dedication has made all the difference.

Watching him move around his backyard today is a beautiful reminder of what can be achieved when love, perseverance, and the right support come together.

The animals I meet never cease to amaze me✨️
Today's patient has adapted beautifully to life on three legs. He wasn't quite ready to completely switch off during his acupuncture session, but that's okay. Treatment is never about forcing relaxation—it's about meeting each animal where they are.
When he finally rested his head between his legs, it was a small moment, but a meaningful one.
Our pets are masters of resilience. ❤️🐾

🐾 Sharon's idea of the perfect treatment room! 🐾

Sharon, a beautiful 12-year-old Golden Retriever × Samoyed, has been managing arthritis in her hips and back. Her loving owner had prepared a lovely comfy bed for her acupuncture session... but Sharon had other plans! 😄

Instead, she chose to have her treatment outside in the fresh air with her favourite teddy tucked between her front legs. 🧸💕

It's always wonderful to see our senior patients so relaxed and content during their sessions. Acupuncture is a gentle way to help support mobility, comfort, and quality of life in older dogs, and Sharon certainly looked right at home today.

Some patients leave paw prints on your heart forever.
Little Locky is one of them 💖

This sweet 13-year-old Cavalier was completely paralysed. His family were devastated, but they never stopped fighting for him.

After his very first acupuncture treatment, Locky got back up and walked again 🐾
It was one of those moments that reminds you just how incredible these little souls can be.

Since then, our goal has been keeping him comfortable, mobile, happy, eating well, and enjoying the best quality of life possible.

Seven months later, Locky is still doing just that — surrounded by the people he has completely wrapped around his tiny paw.

His family’s dedication to his wellbeing has been nothing short of beautiful. Every treatment, every adjustment at home, every bit of love and support has helped give Locky more good days.

Cases like this are why I love what I do.

Hilton is 10 years young and living with spinal pain from discospondylosis and disc disease.
After his session, he rested his head on my leg and stayed there quietly for a while — one of those little moments that says more than words ever could 💛
