Wow I actually don’t know where to start….

Last Sunday we ran a fundraiser day for a young boy named Lockie who is battling a rare form of cancer and enduring things no child should have to.

There are so many people to thank so please bear with me.

Firstly, Amy for the use of your amazing facility, Coal Valley Equestrian Centre and always being so supportive of these days I run.

Ngaire from Nine Bites Cafe for giving up your Sunday to come and cater with yummy food and drinks and donating all profits. I am a massive fan of your raspberry and white chocolate muffins!

Tash from Heart and Soul Equine Therapies and Stacey from Thrive Equine and Canine Therapeutics, for giving up your Sunday and offering your brilliant sessions for both horse and riders. Again with all proceeds donated. We are so lucky to have you both.

To the lovely riders and horses who supported this day. I know I try to fit a lot into these days and lesson times are shorter and often more people in them, however I appreciate everyone’s patience and kindness with continuing to support these days for a good cause.

To Zoey for making her beautiful horse cookies for us to sell. These were a hit!

To all the individuals and businesses who very kindly donated to our raffle. We had such amazing prizes on offer which was reflected in how many tickets were sold! And to Lynda and Nicole for running this.

To everyone who purchased raffle tickets, and those who donated to the day even though they couldn’t attend.

To Ali Richardson-Hickey who is the owner of Hobart Dance Academy where Lockie’s family attend. Thank you for promoting this day and encouraging your students to attend as well.

Finally thank you to my family for supporting me with these big days helping behind the scenes and being ok with me not being home!

These days are not created by an individual, it is only possible with the support of a brilliant community. And we have a jolly good one!

And we are all set up ready for Lockie’s fundraiser tomorrow. 💙
Thank you to my family for helping, and testing out the jumps 😂

Don’t forget Ngaire from Nine Bites Cafe will be there to feed and water us, cookies will be available for purchase and raffle tickets are also available tomorrow. Raffle will be drawn approximately 2pm.

Tash and Stacey will be there for all your horse and human therapies. Please contact them directly for any last minute availability.

Please be mindful when parking and stick to the gravel parking areas. Please do not park on the grass.

💙Two weeks until our fundraiser for Lockie 💙

🔹WHEN: Sunday 24th May
🔹WHERE: Coal Valley Equestrian Centre
🔹WHY: We are coming together to help raise funds for a young boy named Lockie who is battling a rare form of cancer. All funds raised will go directly to the family to help with the costs involved for Lockie’s treatment.

🔹HOW CAN YOU HELP🔹

I have been blown away by the generosity shown by our community.

All lesson spots are full. However, if you would like to pop down and watch some lovely horses and enjoy a coffee or bite to eat courtesy of Ngaire at Nine Bites Cafe we would love to see you. Lessons will run from 8am until 5:30pm.
Ngaire is very kindly offering all profits from the day to our fundraiser.

If you have a little person in your family that would like to pat or brush a pony let me know as we have had generous offers of people willing to bring their ponies to be pampered.

If you weren’t able to get a lesson spot but you would like to bring your horse to have some bodywork the lovely Tash and Stacey have offered their services with all proceeds going to the fundraiser. Contact myself to book.

We also have a raffle with tickets available now or on the day. Winners will be drawn on the day.
