Roley Pig 💔

Twelve years ago, Roley came into my life from Brightside Farm Sanctuary — a little soul with the biggest personality and the pinkest nose.
Yesterday, unexpectedly, we said goodbye.
He wasn’t just a pig… he was family. Paddock supervisor, snack inspector, gentle grunter, and a steady presence through so many seasons of life.
Now he’s gone to be with his twin brother again — and I like to think they’ve found each other, running free under endless sunshine.
Sleep peacefully, beautiful boy.
May you rest where the grass is always green, the breeze is warm, and love never fades. 🌿✨

Well done, Elroy 🐾

While Elroy and I are not able to operate as a therapy handler team within the NDIS framework, this does not diminish the meaningful role he can play in supporting others.
Elroy will continue to be involved in offering emotional regulation and grounding support for individuals experiencing complex or challenging Psychiatric conditions.
Through calm presence, routine, and connection, he has a unique ability to support emotional regulation in a safe, ethical, one on one person-centred way.

Our working goal over the next few years is to venture back into palliative care / Hospice at home , where Elroy will be able to provide comfort, calm, and gentle support to individuals and their families during deeply sensitive times. His steady nature and intuitive presence will be invaluable in supporting families, and I have no doubt he will be amazing in this space. Looking forward to new horizons 🙂

At eight months old, Elroy participates in swimming, retrieving, scent detection classes, and trick training. He is working towards obtaining his Good Citizen Certificate and beginning Therapy Dogs Australia training this month. Go Elroy 🥰
