Meet the Team 🐶

Most just call her Liz—is a trainee veterinary nurse with over a year of hands-on experience at DVS. Originally from London, UK, she’s currently studying for her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and has developed a special love for surgical nursing. Every day is a learning opportunity, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

When Liz isn’t in the clinic, she’s likely dancing her heart out, lost in a movie, or wandering through a museum. But her real daily challenge? Keeping up with her two mischievous cats, Mischief and Misty, who certainly live up to their names. Despite her active lifestyle—including years of dance—she’s never broken a single bone (knock on wood!). Between her cats’ antics and her passion for animal care, life is never dull! Liz is excited to continue growing in the veterinary industry and can’t wait to see where the journey takes her next.

Puppies go through teething just like babies, and by around 9 months of age their adult teeth are in and that sore-gum chewing starts to ease off.

If you ever find any injured wildlife, we are always happy to assist.
This little Nankeen Kestrel was brought in after being found on someone’s porch. The poor little guy was cold and weak, we warmed it up and gave it a cosy place to rest. Took some X-rays to ensure there were no broken bones.
Now some rest and TLC and see how it progresses.

UPDATE Super sleuths - YOU DID IT!! ❤️

His name is Rocky and has gone home to his family today. Apparently he is a bit naughty and this is not his first Great Escape.

Our little mate here is lost and he would really like to find his way home.
Found in Point Cook and brought in by an amazing local family, he is shy and easily scared, and does not have a microchip.
Once comfortable he is open to scratches and will dance, but doesn’t talk.
Please help him find his way home as someone will be desperately missing him.
