Our four-legged friends are getting into the spooky spirit, and we think they’re looking absolutely BOO-tiful! 🧡

Whether they’re a little pumpkin, a spooky ghost or a fang-tastic vampire, there’s nothing frightening about these adorable faces!

🐾💤 More isn’t always better!

At Sniff n Stroll, we believe that meeting a dog’s needs isn’t simply about tiring them out.

It’s about finding the right balance between physical activity, mental enrichment, emotional wellbeing and REST. 🌿

Sleep plays a vital role in learning, development and emotional regulation. Without enough quality rest, dogs can struggle to manage their arousal levels, making everyday situations feel more overwhelming.

That’s why our walks aren’t about covering the most kilometres or burning the most energy. They’re about giving each dog what THEY need.

💚 A tired dog isn’t necessarily a fulfilled dog.

Sometimes, less really is more!

🎉 1 YEAR OF SNIFF N STROLL! 🐾

One whole year of Sniff n Stroll! 💚

What started as an idea has turned into a year filled with muddy paws, wagging tails, big personalities, nervous dogs finding their confidence, happy dogs doing what they love, and plenty of walks where I’ve somehow ended up covered in more dog hair than the dogs themselves 😂

This year has been about so much more than simply walking dogs. It’s been about getting to know each dog for who they are, understanding what they enjoy, helping them feel confident, and finding ways to make their time with me genuinely worthwhile.

I’m incredibly grateful to every person who has trusted me with their dogs, recommended Sniff n Stroll, followed along, liked a post, shared my content or simply cheered me on.

And of course, a very special thank you to the dogs who have made this first year what it is. 🐶💚

Here’s to the first year… and plenty more sniffing, strolling, training, learning and adventures to come!

🐶 Public holiday? What public holiday?

As far as your dog is concerned, today is just another day…

Another day for sniffing.
Another day for exploring.
Another day for zoomies.
Another day for demanding their walk. 😂🐾

It’s Wednesday, which can only mean one thing…

WIGGLE BUMS! 🍑🐶

Happy dogs have happy buns wagging all day long! 😂💛

Whether it’s a full body wiggle, a little tail flick or the classic excited bum shuffle when you get home, there’s nothing better than seeing a dog who is genuinely happy.

So here’s to the wiggly ones, the crazy ones and the ones whose whole backside joins in when they’re excited! 😂

Lala wasn’t too sure about the water at first, and that’s completely okay. 🐾💛

Confidence doesn’t appear overnight.

It grows when dogs are given the freedom to explore, the space to make their own choices, and the reassurance that there’s no pressure.

Every step a little deeper was her decision.

By letting her move at her own pace, she discovered that the water wasn’t something to fear. It became something to enjoy.

Trying to mentally stimulate a crazy spaniel while also entertaining yourself is a full time hobby. 😂🐾
Sniffing games, hide and seek, puzzle toys, training challenges, obstacle courses around the house... honestly, half the fun is seeing what ridiculous solution they’ll come up with.
A tired spaniel isn’t just one that’s been walked. It’s one that’s had its brain switched on.
The bonus? You end up laughing the whole time.
Life with a spaniel is never boring, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. 💛

Puppy socialisation isn’t just about saying hello to every dog and every person you pass 🐾

In fact, good socialisation often looks… pretty boring 👀

It’s about teaching puppies how to observe the world calmly. Different surfaces, sounds, people, environments, dogs, movement and everyday life — without feeling the need to interact with everything around them.

Boris LOVES the beach. Naturally, it brings out the puppy crazies and zoomies 🌊🐶 But real life matters too. If you’ve got a lead in one hand and a toddler in the other, frantic excitement isn’t always ideal.

That’s why we also practice calm.

Watching the waves.
Settling near distractions.
Learning that excitement doesn’t have to happen every single time.

“Fun” absolutely has its place! But so does emotional regulation, neutrality and the ability to switch off.

The goal isn’t a puppy who wants to meet everyone.
It’s a puppy who can confidently exist in the world 💛

He might be getting older, but he still loves getting out and about. 🐾💜

One thing I love about senior dogs is that they remind us to slow down.

Walks don’t have to be long or fast to be worthwhile. Sometimes it’s just about letting them sniff, potter around, and enjoy being outside.

As dogs get older, their needs change. They might not want to walk as far, but they still need enrichment, fresh air and a chance to explore the world.

I always let older dogs set the pace. If they want to stop and sniff, we stop and sniff. If they need a break, we take one.

Growing old doesn’t mean the adventures stop. They just look a little different.

I think there’s something really special about that. 💛
