Meet Addi 💜

She had her first Day Training with us today. We will be teaching her how to navigate the ‘scary world’, build confidence, work through her reactivity and help her live a more balanced lifestyle.
Looking forward to seeing her bloom 🌸

Meet Ziggy 💙

We had a private training session with Ziggy and his owners to work through some separation-related behaviours in the home. When his owners prepare to leave, Ziggy becomes unsettled and tries to stop them by jumping up, vocalising and nipping at them.

Our session focused on giving him clearer structure and boundaries within the home, helping him learn how to calm himself and refocus and introducing the bed command as a safe, consistent place for him to settle when his owners are leaving.
We’re looking forward to hearing about Ziggy’s progress as his owners put everything into practice at home. 🐶

…and yes thats his on his bed 😂😍

Little Miss Zena had a private training session with her owners, showing off everything she’s learnt so far!

We worked with her owners on how to continue her training at home and how to best manage her day to day so she can keep progressing and building on all the great work she’s already done.

She did SO well and was absolutely pooped by the end. But she was very happy to have all her favourite people together! 🥰😉

Meet Luna 🥰

She started our Day training yesterday! We spent the time getting to know her, building a relationship and seeing what motivates her most.

We will be working on her general obedience and manners and most importantly a place to put all her puppy energy 🥳

Meet Goose 🫶
Gooses owner came to us with concerns around his reactivity, but we quickly discovered that this is due to frustration on lead as he is a sweet boy that just wants to play.

Goose is a retired racing Greyhound and has only been with his owner 3 weeks so he hasn’t had much exposure to the real world. We discussed the importance of giving him appropriate outlets that are specific to his breed, while also helping him learn how to navigate his new life.

We worked through some recall and showed him we can have a good time through play.

His owner did an amazing job today and Goose was such a sweet and goofy boy, he was a pleasure to work with🥰

We’re looking forward to seeing him again!
Good boy, Goose! 🐾

Private training session with Luna and her owner 🥰

Today we focused on clear communication and creating more structure at home, particularly when having visitors, as well as building duration and reliability with her bed command.
We finished the session with some engagement work outside, helping Luna stay connected with her handler.

Luna will now be joining our Day Training service to continue building on what she learnt today. We’re looking forward to seeing her again and watching her confidence and progress grow! 🐾

When do you know it’s time to let go of the lead? 🐾

It’s not just about having a good recall.
Before giving a dog more freedom, I want to see that we’ve built trust, communication and a reason for them to stay connected to me.

The long line is such a valuable tool for this. It gives the dog the opportunity to explore and make choices, while still allowing us to guide them and reinforce those check-ins and recalls.
Over time, the goal is that your dog doesn’t just come back because they have to.
They come back because they want to.
That’s what trust looks like.
You let them explore.
They learn that you’re still there.
They learn that coming back to you is rewarding.
And eventually, you can start giving them more freedom because they’ve shown you they can handle it.

Another fun session with miss Zena! 🥰

We focused on building engagement by rewarding good choices through both play and treats, making learning fun and motivating.
She’s so eager to learn and listened beautifully.
It’s always great seeing puppies enjoy training while building valuable life skills!
