But routine health checks aren’t just about making sure everything looks good today they’re an important part of preventative healthcare for your pet.

🩺 During a health check, our Vets can monitor your pet’s:

For many of us, our pets are cherished members of the family. They share our homes, our routines and some of life’s most precious moments. Although saying goodbye is never easy, the memories, companionship and unconditional love they gave us remain forever.

A big day for Oakley! 💙

Today, Oakley joined us at the clinic for his desexing procedure.

Desexing is a routine procedure that offers many long-term health and behavioural benefits, including reducing the risk of certain diseases and helping to prevent unwanted litters.

Oakley was an absolute superstar throughout his visit, and our team made sure he was comfortable every step of the way. 🌟

🎓Puppy Graduation🎓
Congratulations to Piper, Ruby, Enzo, Ned, Oakley and Stevie our latest Puppy Preschool class on completing their training!

Over the past few weeks, these puppies have developed important foundation skills, built confidence, and enjoyed positive social experiences that will help set them up for a lifetime of learning.

We are proud of everything this class has achieved and look forward to watching these wonderful puppies continue to grow.

On the weekend we had the pleasure of celebrating an incredible milestone with a surprise party for Dr. Trudy Seidel, marking 20 years since she took ownership of Para Hills Veterinary Clinic.

Trudy has dedicated her heart to caring for the pets and people of our community. Her passion, compassion and commitment have helped shape Para Hills Vet into the welcoming, supportive and trusted clinic it is today.

From mentoring generations of Veterinary professionals to caring for thousands of beloved pets, supporting wildlife, and building lifelong relationships with our clients, Trudy's impact reaches far beyond the walls of our clinic.

It was wonderful to bring together current and past team members to celebrate everything Trudy has achieved and to thank her for the incredible difference she has made to so many lives both human and animal.

Please join us in congratulating Trudy on this remarkable milestone and thanking her for 20 years of dedication, leadership and kindness.

To all of our valued clients just to update you all with our response to the bird flu that has arrived in South Australia.

Bird Flu is a huge worry for all of our wildlife, our treasured birds and our marine mammals. As a clinic we have to be very careful to make sure that any pet birds we do see are done in a safe way. For this reason we ask everyone that finds a wild bird to follow the pirsa guidelines on what to do.

All water birds, seabirds, Corvids ( ravens and magpies) please call the exotic animal disease hotline on 1800675888. For all other birds please call our reception for advice on what to do.

If you arrive at the clinic with a bird in your car we ask you to please keep the bird in your car and call reception. From there we will decide whether the bird needs to go via the outdoor quarantine area or not and we will give instructions on what to do and where to go.

We hope that this is all temporary but will be cautious for the sake of all of our patients!.
