🐶⚽ FINALS FOOTBALL CONTINUES THIS WEEKEND ⚽🐶

Another huge weekend of finals football is here, with MFFC teams taking the field both at Kurraka and across the region. 🙌

Kurraka will once again host a big program of finals across Saturday 29 August and Sunday 30 August, with plenty of quality football on show throughout the weekend. 🏟️

A special shoutout to our Doggies playing finals at home this weekend. We would love to see plenty of maroon and gold around Kurraka getting behind them. 🐶

And to all of our MFFC teams travelling to away venues for their finals, we are right behind you as well. Give it everything and enjoy the occasion. 👊

If you are heading to any games this weekend, please remember to respect our referees, Duty Officers and volunteers. They all play an important role in helping finals football run smoothly. 👏

⚽ MFFC x NEWCASTLE ELITE FOOTBALL ACADEMY - SCHOOL HOLIDAY CLINIC ⚽

Following the success of our last clinic, we are excited to welcome the Newcastle Elite Football Academy team back to Kurraka for another school holiday football clinic! 🙌

This clinic is open to MFFC registered players from Under 7s through to Under 12s and will be a great opportunity for our young Doggies to develop their skills, learn from experienced coaches and enjoy a quality morning of football. ⚽💛

🕘 9:00am - 12:00pm
📍 Kurraka Oval
💲 $60 per player

The clinic will again be delivered and overseen by the NEFA team, including ex-professionals:

What a year 2026 has been for Maryland Fletcher FC!

We are incredibly proud to have 20 teams playing finals football, with 4 MFFC teams also securing Minor Premierships along the way. An outstanding achievement across the club and a credit to our players, coaches, managers, volunteers and families. 🏆👏

Our Doggies will be playing far and wide throughout the finals series, with plenty of action also happening right here at Kurraka, the home of Maryland Fletcher FC. ⚽

So get to the games, wear your maroon and gold with pride and get behind our teams as they chase finals success! 💛❤️🙌

And to make these days happen, we need your help!

Hosting finals is a huge opportunity for our club. Increased canteen and BBQ revenue goes straight back into MFFC, helping fund our facilities, equipment and opportunities for our local community to play football. 🌭⚽

We need volunteers across the four days to assist with:

🌭 Canteen and BBQ duties
🥅 Field setup and pack down
🦺 Duty Officers
🙋 General ground assistance to help keep the days running smoothly

You don't need to commit to an entire day. Even an hour or two of your time will make a difference.

If you have been involved with MFFC in 2026 and enjoyed everything our club and volunteers have provided throughout the season, this is a great opportunity to give a little back. 🐶

If you can help on any of the four days, please message the club directly with your availability. We will add volunteers to specific chats to coordinate each day.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Amy, a much-loved and long-standing member of our club community.

Amy dedicated many years to our club, giving her time, energy and support to help make our club the community it is today. Her contribution and commitment will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.

Over the weekend, Amy’s daughter’s team came together to honour her memory, releasing balloons and holding a minute’s silence before their game. It was a beautiful tribute and a reminder of the special place Amy holds within our club family 💛

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Amy’s family, friends and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

Details of Amy’s funeral are below for anyone wishing to pay their respects.

Rest peacefully, Amy. You will be greatly missed and forever remembered as part of our club family💛

A huge congratulations to our All Age Women, who have officially secured the Minor Premiership! 💛❤️
