📢 Kurraka Fields Reopening 📢

Kurraka Fields are officially open after two weeks of closure. ✅

Training can resume from today and, with a bit of luck, we’ll see some sunshine stick around for the weekend. 🤞

Please note there are two catch-up games scheduled on Field 1 tonight, with the first match kicking off at 6:30pm. ⚽️

All teams training on Field 1 are asked to vacate the field by 6:00pm to allow time for match preparations.

🌧️⚽ ROUND 6 at MFFC POSTPONED ⚽🌧️

After spending the morning at the fields in our flippers and wetsuits 🏊, we can confirm that Round 6 at Kurraka Oval has been postponed.

Unfortunately, the grounds are heavily waterlogged and there is simply no chance of them drying out over the next few days.

While it's disappointing to miss another weekend of football, player safety and protecting our fields must come first.

Fingers crossed we see some sunshine soon and the grounds get a chance to dry out. ☀️ ☀️

For all games scheduled away from Kurraka, please continue to keep an eye on Squadi & the opposition club's social media pages.

🌧️⚽ FIELD CLOSURE UPDATE ⚽🌧️

Due to the ongoing wet weather, all MFFC fields remain closed and all training sessions must be cancelled until further notice.

Unfortunately, the forecast over the coming days does not look great in terms of giving the grounds enough time to properly dry out.

We will continue to monitor conditions closely and provide updates as soon as fields reopen or if closures continue.

A huge shout out to two of our outstanding Doggies who have been selected in the Northern NSW Football Indigenous State Community Youth Teams for 2026! 🏆

Congratulations to Navarley (Under 12 Girls) and Caleb (Under 16s) on this massive achievement.

To be selected to represent your club, culture and families at such an important tournament is something to be proud of. Your hard work, attitude and commitment to the game have paid off.

🚨 ROUND 5 - GAMES AT KURRAKA POSTPONED 🚨

Due to the ongoing wet weather and current ground conditions, all Round 5 games this weekend have been postponed. 🌧

Player safety and protecting our fields remain the priority, and after continued assessment, the decision has been made to postpone all fixtures. They simply will not be dry enough for any games.

Please keep an eye on our page and Squadi for any further updates or rescheduling information. ✅

For teams playing away, follow the usual process. Continue to check squadi and the host teams page for any updates.
