🌍 MINI ROO WORLD CUP 🌍

We look forward to the 2025 MFFC Mini Roo World Cup – proudly sponsored by Elders Real Estate Newcastle & Lake Macquarie. Saturday 20th September at Kurraka Fields.

📢 By now, each team has received their allocated country via coaches and managers. Here’s what to expect on the day:

⚽ Teams dress up in their country’s colours, kits or costumes
🙌 Parents are encouraged to set up gazebos, chairs, food and drinks to enjoy the day together as a community
🎉 Teams will be announced at the start, running through a tunnel of cheering parents
🔄 Round robin format – each team will play around 3 games against other MFFC teams
🏆 Coaches/managers will be given presentation bags for their team’s mini presentation (trophies etc.)

🌈 We’ll finish the day with a colour run!

📅 Exact game schedule and times will be announced closer to the date
🍔 The canteen will be open with food and drinks available all day

We can’t wait to see everyone come together for what is always one of the best days on the MFFC calendar!

⚽ MULTI ROUND WEEKEND AT KURRAKA ⚽

We’re starting to lose track of what round it is… but we’re beyond stoked to finally have some sunshine and dry fields! 🐶⚽

This Friday, Saturday and Sunday sees a huge range of games being played at Kurraka. A big shoutout to Newcastle Football for working hard to get everyone back on the park, including our Mini Roos, who will be playing their final games of the season this weekend. 🏃🏃‍♀️

Good luck to all of our competition teams getting back on the field. With finals football just around the corner, remember:

⚽ ROUND 13 (Rescheduled) – SUNDAY GAMES UPDATE

Good news Doggies! Sunday games at Kurraka are going ahead tomorrow. 🐶⚽

We inspected the fields today and are confident they will be playable.
This is still touch and go, so if there is more rain tonight we will reassess in the morning and update as early as possible.

📸 Canteen duties – Coaches have been notified via WhatsApp.

Let’s hope the weather holds and we can enjoy a big Sunday of football at Kurraka!

⚽ ROUND 12 (Rescheduled) POSTPONED

Unfortunately, all Round 12 games scheduled for tonight and tomorrow are postponed.

🌧️ Following the recent rain, Newcastle-wide ground closures are in place.
At Kurraka, we have assessed the fields for Friday and Saturday and there is no chance they will be dry enough to play.
We are postponing now to give everyone plenty of notice.

⚽️SUNDAY GAMES AT KURRAKA (Round 13)
We will assess field conditions on Saturday afternoon and confirm as early as possible.

Please note, this may mean an extension of the season.
If you have any questions, please check with your coach first, as all relevant information has been shared with them.

⚽ ROUND 14 UPDATE – GAMES ARE ON!

Great news Doggies – all games at Kurraka today and tomorrow are ON! 🐶⚽

👟 Coaches: Please assist with field setup and pack down across the weekend.

🙌 Spectators: The grounds are still wet in some areas, so please be mindful when walking near the fields to help protect the surfaces.

⚽ ROUND 14 UPDATE

FRIDAY GAMES
❌ Unfortunately, the fields are not playable tonight.

The 6:30pm game – we are attempting to relocate this match.

The 8:00pm game – will be postponed.

SATURDAY & SUNDAY (including Old Boys/Girls Day)
✅ At this stage, all games are scheduled to go ahead. We are confident the fields will be playable by then.
⚠️ Please note: The grounds will still be wet, so we ask spectators and Mini Roos parents to be mindful of foot traffic on the field edges.

🌧️ If there is significant rain overnight, this may change. Any updates will be communicated via Facebook and coaches chat.
➡️ If no further communication, please assume there is no change.

We are looking forward to seeing plenty of past and current players tomorrow at the Fletcher Community Centre from 12:00pm.
