What a special night celebrating the incredible small businesses in our local community! 🤍

Last night I had the absolute honour of being a finalist in the Local Business Awards, and honestly, just being there, surrounded by so many incredible local business owners and getting to soak up the atmosphere was such a special experience!!

Being a small business owner and very much a one-woman show, isn’t always as glamorous as it looks. There have been countless late nights, early mornings, long days, endless to-do lists, challenges that have felt completely overwhelming and plenty of moments where I’ve questioned whether I’m doing enough.

But then there are nights like this that remind me exactly why I keep going! 🤎

I have poured so much of my heart, time and energy into The Polite Puppy Academy, and although it hasn’t always been easy, I honestly wouldn’t change it for the world

To everyone who has supported me, trusted me, recommended me, booked with me, cheered me on and believed in what I do… Thank you. You are a huge part of this journey. 🥹

I may not have taken home the win, but I walked away feeling incredibly grateful, proud of how far I’ve come, and so lucky to be doing what I love ✨

Here’s to the late nights, the hard days, the little wins, the big dreams and everything still to come. 🥂🤎

🎓 Puppy Highschool — 12 months–2 years

Whether you’ve got a tiny baby pup, a teenage tornado or a young adult who needs a little extra guidance, we’ve got a class for them! 🐶✨

Our classes focus on positive reinforcement, building confidence, developing good life skills and creating a strong relationship between you and your pup! 🤎

🎨🐾 Paint, puppies & the sweetest smiles! 🐾🎨

Last weekend we hosted a very special 13th birthday Paint & Puppy Party, and it was every bit as adorable as it sounds! Watching these young animal lovers create their masterpieces while spending quality time with our puppies was so much fun.

Our puppy parties aren’t just a memorable experience for the humans, they’re designed to be a positive experience for the pups too. 💕

With gentle handling, positive interactions it helps our puppies build confidence, practise important social skills, and learn that meeting new people is a fun and rewarding experience. These early positive experiences help set them up for success as they grow! 🐶✨

ONE YEAR OF OWNERSHIP ✨🤎🐾

Today marks one whole year since I officially purchased The Polite Puppy Academy and officially became the owner!

What a year it’s been!

365 days of growth, learning, challenges, big decisions, long days, happy tears, puppy cuddles, and moments I’ll never forget ⭐️

One year ago, I took the biggest leap and officially became the owner of PPA. It was exciting, terrifying, and without a doubt one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! 🐾

This past year has taught me so much, not just about business, but about resilience, confidence, and learning to back myself, even when things felt scary or uncertain.

Running a business isn’t always easy, and there have definitely been moments that have pushed me well outside of my comfort zone. But through it all, I’ve built something I’m incredibly proud of 🤍

I feel so grateful that I get to do something I truly love helping puppies and their families build happier, more confident lives together.

To every single person who has trusted me with their pups, attended classes, supported my business, recommended PPA, or simply cheered me on, Thank you!

Your support means more than you know and it really is because of you guys that can keep the doors open.

This business and community means the world to me, and I feel so lucky to be part of your journey ✨
