Christie joined the Fletcher Vet team in 2024 and works across both nursing and reception. She loves being able to support our clients and their furry family members, helping to make every visit to the clinic as positive and stress-free as possible.

Christie is passionate about creating positive experiences for both pets and their owners and enjoys getting to know the wonderful families who visit us. 💙🐶🐱

Outside of work, Christie is a proud cat mum to Banjo and Violet and loves spending time with horses. 🐴🐱

Due to unexpected staff shortages, our Wallsend clinic will be closed from 10:30am today, Thursday and Friday.

Our Fletcher clinic will remain open as normal and is available to assist with appointments, emergencies and any enquiries during this time.

Meet Nic! 🐾

Nic is one of our experienced Veterinary Nurses and also our talented groomer, bringing over 21 years of nursing experience to the Fletcher Vet team.

Nic’s favourite part of veterinary nursing is surgery and monitoring patients throughout their procedures, ensuring they’re safe, comfortable, and receiving the very best care every step of the way. Whether she’s in theatre or helping your pet look and feel their best after a groom, Nic is passionate about making a difference in the lives of the animals she cares for.

Outside of work, Nic loves spending time camping with her husband and their two children. At home, she’s kept busy by her German Shepherd, Elsa, her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Arlo, and her horse, Danny. 🐶🐴

Walter first visited us as an adorable little pup, and now he’s all grown up at 4 years old. Watching our patients grow alongside their families is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Meet Nessie! 💜🐶

Desexing day can feel a little daunting, so we thought we’d take you behind the scenes and show you exactly what it looks like through Nessie’s journey.

• Pre-med cuddles before her procedure
• Resting comfortably on a cosy heat mat with IV fluids before surgery
• Prepped and ready for theatre
• During her procedure with our dedicated team
• Waking up with the infamous “cone of shame” before heading home
• And finally… Nessie today! One month later, fully healed, happy, and back to her playful self.

From the moment Nessie arrived until she went home, our team was by her side—keeping her warm, monitoring her closely under anaesthetic, managing her pain, and making sure she was as comfortable as possible every step of the way.

Meet Muffles (14) and Tank (13), two gorgeous senior pugs who are spending the day with us for their dental procedure. 🐾

As our pets get older, looking after their oral health becomes even more important. Dental disease is one of the most common conditions we see in senior pets, and it can cause pain, difficulty eating, bad breath, and even affect their overall health if left untreated.

Regular dental checks can help us identify problems early and keep your furry friend happy, healthy, and comfortable in their golden years!

Meet Hannah! 🐾

Hannah joined the Fletcher Vet team in 2024 after graduating as a Veterinary Nurse in 2022. Her caring nature and calm approach make her a wonderful support for both our patients and their families.

Hannah enjoys caring for animals through every stage of life and has a particular interest in helping patients during trauma and emergency cases. She finds it incredibly rewarding to be there when pets need us most and is passionate about providing them with the highest level of care.

Outside of the clinic, Hannah is kept busy by her beautiful dog, Nala, who many of our clients may recognise from our social media! 🐶
