We have a new groomer at the dog stylist! Janet has officially joined Alicia and I this week and it’s been great! Janet has recently moved to Hobart from Queensland to be closer to family and is open for bookings! Janet grooms small dogs only and works weekdays, if you’d like to book an appointment with Janet feel free to dm me or text 0431810145.
Janet will be helping me get through my busy schedule til the end of the year and I truly appreciate the help and the amazing knowledge and skill Janet holds!
Janet ran an at home salon for over a decade and is such a peaceful, calming addition to the dog stylist.
Please everyone say welcome if you see her in the shop 🤩

Hey everyone!
Just want to let you all know that soon Ella will be leaving The Dog Stylist (😭)
Alicia and I feel like we’re losing a limb, it’s a very sad time! Finding someone who just fits perfectly is hard and it’s been an absolute pleasure to get to know Ella and I think of her as a dear dear friend. We will miss her so much.
This means, I’m going to be
1. Stressed
2. Busy
Please have patience with me, there will be reschedules there will be inconveniences. Saturdays are my busiest day and losing Ella’s help is going to be tough! If you can come on a different day that may be helpful, I’ll chat to you all when I see you.
I’m going to take the rescheduling week to week, not looking further ahead or I’ll get too overwhelmed.
Give Ella a big thank you if you see her, she does amazing work and she loves all your furry friends.

Nearly a year of Moo! Look at this amazing progress ☺️ Moo was very sick with multiple illnesses, lost all her fur due to strong medications and is now looking amazing!
Thank you Moo for mending my broken heart and being such a good shop doggy!

This is Banjo! He was recently adopted and I’m giving him a nice bath and nails today. So nice to fill the Frida shaped hole in my heart for a little while ❤️

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and well wishes.
Frida’s health declined suddenly over the last few weeks with her lung cancer returning. 8 months after losing Jeanie, it’s been a very tough time.
I will be working as usual as it’s a good distraction for me but please be patient with me.
Having Frida at work with me was one of my favourite things, watching her greet everyone, watching her beg for Alicia and Ella’s lunch, her barking alerts for customers when I was out the back. Wherever I was, for the last 15 years I knew Frida was right beside me or behind me or looking at me. It’s a strange feeling to come to terms with to know she gone, I don’t know when it will feel real.

Throwback to my beginning! I started my dog grooming life as a dog bather in Brisbane in 2010 at
After a traumatic car accident in 2008 I wasn’t able to do the work I’d always done and four paw took me on as a volunteer before hiring me! I love the girls at four paw so much and owe them a big thank you for being so welcoming and helping me find a new passion!
Having my own salon was always a crazy dream that didn’t seem achievable, it’s such a please to come to work everyday.
Though the shop takes all my time and I don’t schedule enough time off (🤣) I really am happy to do what I do and I love you all for being my clients! Some of you I’ve known for over a decade now and I truly think of you as my friends. 🫂
