We are a not-for-profit organisation established in 1990 to rescue, treat and rehome dogs. K9 Rescue Group strives to educate the community about responsible dog ownership. We provide a regional service in Western Australia to the Peel, Rockingham, Kwinana and Cockburn areas. At K9 Rescue Group we are passionate about creating an environment where a dog is treated as a rightful and respected membe

r of the community. We have over a hundred volunteers who work tirelessly to successfully rehome around 400 dogs a year, and seek to promote the significant benefits that pet ownership brings to the community.

Every day, Dante watches the world go by, hoping that someone will see just how special he is. He has so much love, loyalty, and companionship to offer. He just needs the chance to show it.

Like so many rescue dogs, Dante is patiently waiting for his happily ever after. Until then, he relies on the care, support, and dedication of our volunteers and supporters to help him thrive while he waits.

🚨 MISSING DOG – DAWESVILLE 🚨

Please help us find Misty, who has gone missing from Dawesville after accidentally slipping out of her foster home near Channel View. She was last seen running in the direction of Pyramids Beach.

Misty is wearing a purple collar and is an extremely frightened and timid dog. While she is not aggressive, she is very scared and is likely to run away or hide if approached.

⚠️ PLEASE DO NOT CHASE, CALL OUT TO, OR ATTEMPT TO CATCH MISTY.

Saviour is goofy, playful and full of personality! He is the kind of dog who makes sure life is never boring.

He’s a larger-than-life boy with a soft, sensitive side. He loves his people, enjoys bush walks with our volunteers, and absolutely lights up around water. Give him a clam shell or a water tub and he is in his element.

Underneath the excitement is a loyal, affectionate boy who just wants to be close to his humans.

He will need to be the only pet in the home and is best suited to quieter adventures rather than dog parks or busy social settings. 🥾🌿🛋️

It’s also a great reminder to check that your dog’s microchip details are up to date. If they become frightened and escape during a storm, current contact information gives them the best chance of making it back home quickly.

POV: your FIFO foster carers just got home 🥹❤️

Mia’s stay with us was a little longer than usual while her foster mum & dad went on holidays, but the second they landed they were RUNNING through the airport carpark to get back to their girl before the storm hit 🌧️✈️

And Mia? She absolutely lost her mind with excitement the moment she saw them. Full body wiggles, happy tears, emotional cuddles… the works 🥹

This is what foster care is all about. Even with a roster that has them away every second week, Mia is so deeply loved and so excited every single time her people come home 🫶🏼💜

Meet May 💛✨

May is affectionate, clever, playful and full of personality. Walk into May’s kennel and she’ll usually greet you toy-first, tail wagging, ready to show off her latest treasure. 🧸

May loves being included in daily life. She has a beautiful mix of fun, gentle and loyal, with just the right amount of cheeky sparkle.

She has also made huge progress with other dogs since being in care and now joins in on pack walks with multiple dogs. While she isn’t ready to live with another dog just yet, she can socialise with calm dogs when introductions are slow, thoughtful and supported.

May would love a home where someone is around more often than not, and she would suit kids 8+.

This handsome lad absolutely knows he’s good-looking and isn’t afraid to use it to score extra cuddles and attention.

Aslan is the perfect mix of affectionate and easygoing. He loves a cuddle with his people, but he’s also independent enough to happily do his own thing and just go with the flow. No drama here, just good vibes and great hair.

He’d suit a home with another balanced dog who enjoys a play, an adventure, or a run together… but also understands the importance of chilling out afterwards.

He’s learning his basic obedience and is looking for a loving home that will continue helping him build on those skills so he can keep being the best boy possible. He’s a smart lad who enjoys having guidance and routine.

True to her name, Honey is sweet as can be and loves every person she’s met. She’s affectionate, loving, and has that infectious happy energy that makes you smile the second you’re around her. Honey is always having the BEST time.

She’d thrive in an active home that can keep both her body and brain busy. She may be able to live with another dog, ideally one with enough energy to keep up with her playful personality 💛

As a young girl, Honey would benefit from ongoing basic training and guidance, but she’s eager to learn and picks things up quickly.
