Up to date vaccinations mandatory for all guests. All dogs over 2 years must be desexed.

Easter, but make it Sherwood 🐾🐰

Our Easter guests have fully embraced the spirit… some more willingly than others 😅

From bunny ears to bow ties and the occasional “please remove this immediately” expression, it’s safe to say the dogs brought the personality this weekend.

We’ve loved having a full house of wagging tails, happy chaos and a whole lot of very patient (and very cute) models 💚

The calm before the Easter rush 🐾

Fresh beds washed and drying, kennels cleaned, and everything ready for a busy few weeks ahead.

It’s one of those rare quiet moments where the yards are still, the corridor is calm… and we know it won’t last for long 😅

With the recent cyclone and fuel disruptions, we’ve had a few last-minute changes — so while most of our Easter bookings have held, we do have a handful of kennels available if you’re still looking 👀

We’re gearing up for a full house of wagging tails, muddy paws and happy chaos — just the way we like it.

Well… it’s been a minute 😅

Life at Sherwood has been a little bit of everything lately… busy days, happy chaos, muddy paws, wagging tails and plenty of personalities keeping us on our toes.

We’ve had:
🐾 zoomies in the yards
🐾 splash sessions in the pool
🐾 sniffing adventures on the tracks
🐾 and plenty of quiet moments in between

Some familiar faces, lots of new ones, and a whole lot of dogs making themselves right at home 💚

We know we’ve been a bit quiet on here, but behind the scenes it’s been all go caring for your pups, making little improvements, and working on a few new ideas we’re excited to share soon 👀

Thank you (as always) for trusting us with your dogs. It never gets lost on us how important that is.

We’ll try to be a bit more consistent on here… no promises though, the dogs do keep us busy 😄

A little life update from Sherwood 💚🐾
While the dogs have been enjoying their usual playtime, enrichment and yard adventures, Sean has been having a slightly less glamorous week — recovering from a total knee replacement. All went well, and he’s now focusing on rest, rehab and being a model patient (we’re still assessing how that’s going 😉).
The good news is it’s very much business as usual here at the kennels. The dogs remain our top priority, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support, patience and well wishes from our wonderful Sherwood families.
We’ll have Sean back supervising Sniff & Sprints and Explorer Walks properly soon enough — though he might be delegating the sprinting part for a little while 🐶💚

People sometimes ask if our own dogs ever miss out because they live here…

Lucy, Henry and Ruby would like to assure you that they absolutely do not 🐾😄

Testing the Explorer Walk track means our three get first dibs on wandering, sniffing and stretching their legs through the same spaces we’ve created for the dogs in our care. A bit like kids who grow up at a school, there are definitely some special privileges that come with living on site.

The added bonus? They’re excellent (and very enthusiastic) quality control officers, helping us experience these walks exactly as your dogs do — and making sure they’re every bit as enjoyable, enriching and safe as possible 💚🐶

Every dog is different...
💚Skye loves to cuddle,
💚Arya will run through sprinklers all day with Luna,
💚Henry wasn't keen on swimming in the water, but loved to "swim" in the dirt,
💚Emma loved the pool,
💚Ivy was just happy to explore,
💚Nova loves running (and howling)
💚Baylee and Pepe became instant besties

Our job is simply to give them the space, care and enrichment that suits them best.

A little snapshot of life at Sherwood lately 💚🐾
We've had some perfect pairs in the yards and some absolute water babies in the pool..
We strive every day here to give dogs space to play, relax, and enjoy their stay in a way that suits them best.
We love seeing the different personalities shine through; the sprinters, the swimmers, the sniffers, and the ones who are happiest just watching the world go by.

🐣 With Easter hopping closer (yes those Hot Cross Buns were at Costco already this week!), our kennels are almost full. If you’re planning a getaway, it’s a good time to pop a booking in before the last spots disappear!

It’s been a busy start to the year at Sherwood, and we’ve loved every minute of it 💚🐾

From relaxed time in the yards, to zoomies on Sniff & Sprints, to splashing around in our new Sherwood Summer Splash, these photos and clips are just a small snapshot of the dogs we’ve had the joy of caring for recently.

Every dog enjoys their stay in their own way: some love to sprint, some prefer to sniff, some are all about the water, and others are happiest just soaking up the space and company.

Our job is simply to meet them where they’re at and make their stay as comfortable and enriching as possible.

As move deeper into the New Year, we want to thank all our Sherwood families for your continued trust and support. We’re looking forward to another year of happy dogs and wagging tails 🐶✨

A quick heads-up that school holiday and Easter periods are already filling fast, so if you’re planning time away this year, we recommend booking as early as possible to avoid missing out 💚

You may have noticed something new at Sherwood 🚌🐾
After experiencing a bushfire evacuation earlier in December, we made the decision to purchase a 60-seater bus to ensure we have a safe, organised way to evacuate dogs if we ever need to do so again.

Meet Maid Marion of Sherwood 💚

She’s here for one reason only... to keep the dogs in our care safe in the event of an emergency.
Having this bus on site gives us the ability to move dogs calmly, securely, and together if required, and gives us (and hopefully our customers) extra peace of mind.

We hope we never need to use her, but we’re grateful to have her ready, just in case.
