MEET THE VETS - Dr Paige 🐄🐾

Some people find their calling early…and for Dr Paige it happened at just FOUR years of age when she watched her very first calving! 🐮(Pic - don’t you just love little Paige!)

After graduating from Sydney Uni in 2005 - Paige turned dream into reality and her career kicked off in Coolah straight into the deep end with a busy mixed animal practice and plenty of hands on cattle work!

Lucky for us, Paige has now been an invaluable part of the MVH crew and the Mudgee Region since 2009…And after many years of hard work, skill and clinical expertise - if it’s tackling a challenging calving or treating a much loved pet through a tough time - Paige is living proof of where dedication, hard work and a genuine love for animals can lead!

PASTURE IS DOWN - NUTRITION MUST STEP UP 🥶🐄🐑

Mid-Western Regional Council, in collaboration with Mudgee Vet Hospital, are offering discounted desexing procedures throughout the month of August.

Eligible local residents can receive a $140 discount per pet, with an additional $50 discount available for a limited number of pension concession card holders - thanks to support from the RSPCA.

‼️Expressions of interest are NOW OPEN and will close Friday, 18th July 2025.

- Limited to one pet per household
- Submitting an expression of interest does not guarantee an appointment.

MEET THE VETS - Dr Steve 🩺

If you’ve visited Mudgee Vet in the past 20 years, chances are you’ve met Dr Steve - our super tall legend who’s probably seen more dirt roads and cattle yards than Google Maps.

Dr Steve’s career kicked off in Quirindi (throw back pic!), then a stint in Scotland, UK, a defining UK’s Foot and Mouth Outbreak as a volunteer, four years in equine medicine in the Southern Highlands before he joined the Mudgee Vet team in 2002…and hasn’t looked back.

From racehorse to Clydesdales, family pets to farm animals, Dr Steve has seen and cared for them all and helped build our original clinic into the purpose-built veterinary hospital we’re proud of today!

A steady hand, trusted and familiar face to generations of locals and their pets!
