Montrose & New Norfolk Veterinary clinic is excited to announce that we have another new veterinarian joining our team next week.
Dr Jade has just moved back home from Queensland outside of clinical practice, she will be working in collaboration with the Tasmanian Government and TasNetworks on conservation projects aimed at protecting Tasmania’s threatened birds of prey, including the Wedge-tailed Eagle and Masked Owl with infrastructure to reduce powerline-related injuries and fatalities.
Dr Jade graduated from the University of Queensland in 2019. During her studies, she worked as a veterinary nurse at an exclusively avian clinic in Brisbane, which sparked her passion for treating birds and exotic species. Since graduating, she has worked in a number of wildlife and exotic animal hospitals across Australia, providing both medical and surgical care to a wide variety of patients.
Her passion is delivering high-quality veterinary care to patients of all shapes and sizes – dogs, cats, birds, rats, mice, guinea pigs, rabbits, snakes, lizards, frogs, fish and wildlife. She even performs orthopaedic surgery on birds!
Initially, Dr Jade will be working with us every second Friday and Saturday you will be able to book your birds and exotics with Dr Jade from next Friday 5th June call our Montrose clinic on 62723599 or New Norfolk on 62611573
