Its not often a young started morgan comes on the market. Rio is a super sweet, trainable, brave and fun little horse. He will make a great anything & everything horse. He has cute little movement that would look great in the dressage or show ring, he has a lovely jump on him, was brave in his limited cross country experience and loves heading out for a trail ride alone or in a group. He is still young so not for a beginner but is quiet enough that we have put less experienced riders on him under supervision.
Easy to catch, truck or float, has been clipped and is very well mannered for the farrier. He is barefoot and up to date with dental. He stands at around 14.3hh

Lovely morning at EP - Spring is close! Took Weemala Mighty Mary (Candy) and Cougar for a stretch out on Waragamba drive, a 2 km slight uphill run! Candy showed some lovely strides and will cover a XC course easy! Weemala Hearts’n’Stars (Harry) had his first jump back since May and loved it! Moonbah Kashmir (Rio) tagged along with Harry!

I thought we should introduce the newest member of the Weemala family.
About 6 weeks ago we made a snap impulse buy and welcomed 4yo Brown TB Mare - Extras (aka Janey) to the Weemala crew. Janey stands an impressive 17hh, has great bone for a TB. What appealed to us in her sale add was her lovely big swinging walk and since being home her other paces certainly dont disapoint. She had a very short race career before retiring to be a broodmare.
Janey is in foal to Glacial Gold and is due towards the end of September. She has an impressive baby belly and we cannot wait to welcome our first foal of the season in just a few weeks.
Our plan will be to breed Janey to Cookie this coming season, we just have to work out how he will reach!!!

A lovely trail ride at home today - Joh riding Helga’s lovely Moonbah Kashmir (Rio) Omar Enchanting Breeze x Equinox Cashmere! Rio is such a delight in every way! Sandi on Weemala Mighty Mary (Candy) full sibling to the Mighty Mo! Bel being the photographer on Cougs!

A cold wintery 🥶 day at Weemala
All the weanlings had a floating lesson and short float trip
Uncle Cracker being the solid grown up (not yet 3) for the kids

Weemala Faith and Mini me - Weemala DaVinci Code (wb c**t by Bluefields Dankeschoen)! No stress, gradual weaning, Faith is such a good mum but the cheeky boy can sometimes get a sneaky suck when mummy is in the right position. The milk bar will be out of reach in a few weeks.

Weemala Cougar doing what she loves (apart from maybe the dressage) and Bel - a few photos from Canberra horse Trials in April and Harden Horse Trials in May, Cougs had very solid performances at both events and there is even the start of small chatter about moving up a grade to 1*.

Braved the colder weather today and took a couple youngsters (and Cougs) into EP for a trail ride and a look at some XC jumps! A friend (Joh) rode Cougs, Sandi on Candy (Mighty Mary - Momo’s sister) and me (Bel) on Rio (Moonbah Kasmere). It was Rio’s first ride off our property and he braved the trail and XC area beautifully, with children on bikes, young kids on ponies hooning around and the wind howling! He is such a good boy and I’m having so much fun continuing his riding - thank you Helga for trusting us with him. It was also lovely to catch up with Jim and Bec Walshe ❤️
