💔 URGENT FOSTER CARERS NEEDED 💔🆘

We were called about a litter of 7 starving, underweight pups the owner wanted them gone that very same day. When we saw the photos, our stomachs dropped… tiny babies, only 7–8 weeks old, breed most likely staghound x , skin and bone, with the saddest little eyes. 💔 They should be chubby, playful pups at this age instead, they’ve been left to fade away.

Tomorrow night, after 9pm, they will finally be safe with us thanks to transport. But safety is only the first step they need foster homes urgently tomorrow night! so they can start to heal, eat, rest, and feel love for the first time in their lives.

Because they’re so young, they must go into minimum pairs it helps them feel secure, learn, and adjust. Honestly, it’s usually even easier the more you take, as they comfort and entertain each other. Pick up will be narre Warren after 9pm tomorrow this is urgent and ideally will need to go into foster homes tomorrow if you can help please apply! Don’t delay! We can talk you through any questions you have before or after applying!

🐾 Bringing Home Your New Dog: What to Expect & How to Prepare 🐾

Whether you’re welcoming a bouncy puppy or a gentle adult into your home, the first few weeks are all about building trust, routine, and comfort. Here are some of our top tips for a smooth transition ⬇️

✨ Sleeping Arrangements
We strongly recommend having your dog sleep inside. This helps with bonding, toilet training, and teaches them your home is a safe place (no need to escape!).
👉 Many families find crate training helpful – dogs are natural “den animals” and feel secure having their own space. Start slowly, make it comfy with blankets, and reward calm behaviour.

🚽 Toilet Training
Remember: everything is new! Be patient while your dog learns where to go.
🐕 Look out for signs: sniffing, circling, whining, pacing.
🌿 Choose a designated toilet spot and take them there immediately when they show these signs.
🙌 Celebrate the wins! Always reward correct toileting with praise or treats.
❌ Accidents will happen. Don’t punish – just clean with an ammonia-free product and guide them to the right spot next time.

🛏 Crate Training Basics
1. Make the crate inviting with blankets and toys.
2. Let your dog explore it freely – don’t force or shut the door at first.
3. Feed meals inside the crate to build positive associations.
4. Gradually close the door for short periods, then increase over time.
5. At night, keep the crate nearby so they feel safe.

💡 Quick Reminders for New Adopters
• Bonding takes time – your pup needs to adjust to new smells, routines, and people.
• Consistency is key: same toilet spot, same feeding schedule, same bedtime routine.
• Positive reinforcement works far better than punishment.
• Young pups may need overnight toilet breaks. Seniors may too.
