How’s the attitude on the little Polish chick 😂 reminiscent of our eldest Mini Board member!

Polish chicks are so damn cute and they grow into pretty cool looking chickens. We find our girls super chill but with awesome personalities and not a lot of attitude. (The boys are a whole different story 😂)

We’ve got two Wyandotte pens on the go — one Gold Laced and one Silver Laced — and fertility is finally where we want it, so more chicks are coming soon! 🐥

Wyandottes are such a great breed — they lay around 200–240 medium to large brown eggs a year, are calm, friendly and easy to handle, and they’re absolutely stunning to look at.

The single-coloured Wyandottes are lovely, but our Mini Board Members reckon the laced varieties steal the show — and us mere workers have to agree! 🧡🤍🖤

Ok chick update -

We have sent a couple of messages to confirm some chick orders this morning and we are also still hatching! Someone decided it would be a good idea to set two batches of eggs a couple days apart 😂 I would like to blame the Mini Board Members but it was me! I was too impatient to try our new incubator. Which created double the work this week 🙈.

Once I know what I have left after orders and my hatch finishes I’ll pop the rest up 🐣

The Mini Board Members have spoken – broodies need their babies! 🐣💛

Just like Broody Trudy here, who’s currently sitting on a mixed batch of eggs… we have decided to offer a Mini Board Member Broody Mix as either ½ dozen or a full dozen.

Perfect for broodies… or anyone who loves a little surprise! These are a mix of eggs straight from our dedicated pens (no crossbreeds). You won’t know what you’re getting until they arrive but we can guarantee they are from friendly breeds!

Pick up or we can post them – because broodies don’t do waiting. Just DM us and we can make sure to set aside some fertile eggs for your broody!

New coop or Mini Board Member containment centre…….

In all seriousness we love making our coops out of recycled materials. We actually haven’t bought anything new for this coop, it’s all made from left over or second hand materials. Just need to finish the roof and door and we are ready for some feathered friends.

Not sure who is going to move into this one yet but you can never have too many coops 😂
