This beautiful family are currently caravanning around Australia with their assistance dog in tow. Check out their visit to the Grampians!
‘The GRAMPIANS…
We were told to stay clear as they have been burning since December, we are SO happy we made contact with the locals at Halls Gap to know we would be safe and they would LOVE to have us come and support their community.
We are SO pleased we came, there still so much to explore!
Little list of what we did we stayed 4 nights at Halls Gap (amazing facilities - pool, sauna and great location)
Photos:
1. Driving into Halls Gap was very surreal seeing the force of these fires, but there was hope as we continued on with new sprouts spreading far and wide through the bush. It’s incredible to see nature begin to recover so quickly.
2. Venus Baths - magic place for the family and only a short walk.
3. We continued on from Venus Baths to complete Chatauqua Peak which was quite a rock scramble, Matt made it to the peak, I didn’t as she was almost a vertical rock climb (the top is not very kid friendly).
4. The Pinnacle and Grand Canyon walk - this was magic 4.2km, it just got better and better. Can you guess what the rock formation is?
5. Day 4 we rested the bodies at Lake Bellfield and we got to share the lake with a couple of Emus which was such a treat.
If you’re tossing up whether to go to the Grampians or not, you should most certainly go!
So blessed our assistance dog can come along and support us too!
