Love it when we can let them run wild & free 💕🐾

‘This is a non-negotiable for us when we’re staying somewhere dogs have to be on lead 🐕🤍

Finding a designated off-lead beach like this = happy pups, tired pups, peaceful parents 😌😂

The perfect spot for them to burn off all that energy… and it’s so easy to get to — just off the main road between Dunsborough & Busselton 🌊

📍 Siesta Park Reserve

Would your dog love this too? 🐾👇’

How cool is this! ⛳️ A free round of golf + equipment hire with every stay.

What great info for preparing your dog for travel on the Spirit of Tasmania!

‘After 2 years on the road travelling with a dog, you’d think we’d have dealt with it all! But a 12 hour boat trip... safe to say we were a little concerned how he’d go! 🐶

These are the few things we did, and needed to do, to get him across the Spirit of Tasmania 🛥️

1. EXERCISE - Because we were on a day boat we needed him to be ready for a chill day in the caravan, so we ran him everyday for two weeks along with doggy play dates.

2. FOOD - made sure we fed him a little extra the days leading up with plenty of water. We left him with nothing in the van incase it was rough and to save him needing the bathroom🫣

3. HEARTWORM TREATMENT- The Spirit of Tasmania requires dogs to be wormed, specifically Hydatid Tapeworm, within 14 days of boarding. This can be proved with packaging, receipts or photographs and will be checked when you hand over your dog declaration form.

4. THE BOAT - while the Spirit offers kennels we opted to keep Alfie in the safety and comfort of the van. (You will need to sign a waiver to do so) we kept the floor empty and blocked underneath the draws for any accidents, opened some windows and were placed on a ventilated deck.

All in all it was a great trip, we were lucky to have a relatively smooth sail and Alf managed the whole day without accident and was given plenty of snuggles and a big walk when we parked up on the other side 🙌’

It’s not often you get to take your 4-legged friend into a museum with you! 🐾

📸

WWII SECRET BASE, CHARLEVILLE

We discovered the secret history of this outback town that sheltered 3,500 American servicemen during WWII, conducting top-secret ops that changed the course of the war. The locals kept it under wraps, but the vault that hid the Norden Bombsight still stands today and we got to go inside!

🐾 The museum and tag-a-long tour are pet friendly 🐾

Great option to stay when visiting Devils Marbles!
Thanks for sharing 😊🐾

🏕️ Devils Marbles Hotel Free Camp

‘If you have a dog and can’t stay at the NP camp next to Devils Marbles, NT, drive 14 minutes south down the road to stay at the free camp right in front of the hotel.
Get in early as there’s only a few spots, first in best dressed. We scored the last camp at 5pm, Joel set up with Steel our puppy while me (Shelley) and the boys explored the Devils Marbles. We joined other travellers and it was just what we all needed after camping off grid at many free camps all the way up to here with no one around. We drove back at sunset after exploring the Marbles and the kids played with other kids into the night. They had a blast 😊

You’ll also find-
🔸 A fire pit to sit by or cook on
🔸 Covered table and seating areas
🔸 Amazing sunsets
🔸 Dog Friendly
🔸 And bonus Happy hour at the Hotel just a walk across the road, from 3-5pm.

It’s a little noisy with the road trains driving by, but it isn’t constant and worth it for a free camp for the night 👏

If there’s no spots left you can always camp behind the hotel for $43 a night with a pool 💦
But we’d prefer the free camp any day to watch our boys run free!!’

It really is the most beautiful beach, especially if you get the timing right with the tides!

📸

‘I have never been to a beach like this before…

📍 Simpsons Beach, Broome, WA

You need to go when there is a 7m incoming tide to see the turquoise blue water meet the red sand and red cliffs. (We went on a 9m tide and it came in so quickly)

There are mangroves so we didn’t go swimming because of 🐊s but we just played in the shallows and enjoyed the simple beauty of this spot.

We were in awe, you are MAGIC!‘

Great little spot to camp for a couple days. Use it as a base to explore Broome & surrounds & don’t forget to check out the Willie Creek Pearl Farm while you’re in the area.

📍 Willie Creek, Dampier Peninsula

‘What a start to our Dampier Peninsula leg. We didnt stop at Willie Creek when we were here 3 years ago so we had to pop in this time round. And how spectacularly beautiful is it here, the water, the drop off, the beach, the creek- all of it was just so beautiful. We fished, we sat around the camp fire, looked for mudcrabs and just relaxed. It was the perfect stay.

A place we will definitely be visiting again.’

Have you taken your Pup up to the Cape with you? Some great little spots to stop along the way.

📸

CANAL CREEK / OLD TELE TRACK

On our way to the tip, we swung by some parts of the OTT to see what it’s like since we did it 6 years ago! Palm Creek’s changed a little 😅 Max loved his refreshing dip at Canal Creek 🌞🛻👙🐶

These guys visited this beautiful spot recently with doggo in tow, & loved it so much they spent 12 nights here! 😍

📸

‘Cant believe we nearly missed this place!!

📍Lucky Bay, Kalbarri

Cruised straight past Kalbarri on our way to our Exmouth bookings and werent planning on coming back that far down. Holy sh*t I would have been annoyed, this place is 👌🏼

12 nights of bliss, plenty of laughs, endless good times, stunning sunsets & a 10/10 good time with a good crew!

The longest stint we have done in one place since leaving on our lap. The kinda place that if the weather was on point and the fish were biting you’d have no reason to leave.‘

I don’t reckon we’d want to leave either 🐾💕
