🩸🐾 Blood donors come in all shapes and sizes, and sometimes they have four legs and a wagging tail.
Recently, one very special donor helped save a life!
When gorgeous girl Alice was being treated for rat bait toxicity, she urgently needed a blood transfusion. Thanks to a blood donation from our Staff member Kenny’s dog Maggie, Alice received the lifesaving treatment she needed and is now on the road to recovery. ❤️
Tucker (choccy lab pictured) owned by Staff Member Sharli, generously donated blood to help replenish our supplies, ensuring we are ready to help the next patient who may need emergency care.
We would like to give a special thank you to our wonderful staff, and their amazing dogs for donating blood to help other animals in need. We are incredibly grateful to Kenny’s dog, whose donation directly helped save Alice’s life, and to Tucker for helping ensure blood is available for future emergencies.
The dedication of our team extends far beyond their working day. Not only do they care for our patients every day, but they also volunteer their own pets to help save the lives of others. ❤️🐾
