Choppa is deaf and he did so well in his first lesson yesterday! He can be cheeky though by turning away when he is going to do something naughty.😅🙈

Mum and dad have already dedicated so much time and effort in to making Choppa feel at home since adopting him 3 weeks ago, he is a very sweet boy but our ultimate goal is to work on his intense dog reactivity.
But, we must start from the ground up! Sit and boundaries first. ✅️
We need to establish the habit of checking in with us constantly so that we can give him guidance and direction.

So excited to see how this beautiful boy progresses in our next few lessons. 🥰

This cute girl was recently adopted and mum needed some advice on how to introduce her to the cats.
Crunchie definitely has working breeds in her. Her herding instinct in very strong and her stalking stance is stunning to watch!
What breeds do you think she might be?
She's only 9 months old 🥰

This young, handsome, boy is up for some training soon! 🥰
He's just a little TOO friendly and exciteable, and now that he's getting big, it's becoming a little too stressful to manage for mum and dad while on walks, plus his little human brother/ best friend would love to walk him too but can't any more because Stormy is too strong.
Let's see if we can rein in some of the excitement and show Stormy how to greet people and dogs more politely so gets more opportunities to play and cuddle like the big squishy cuddle bug he is! 😁

Great video and explanation on the "kiss to dismiss"!
There are heaps of things in this video to look for in your own dog and learn when you could vouch for them by stepping in and helping create space for them. 💚
Yes, most of the time dogs can navigate their own way through social interactions, however some dogs are socially inept, over stimulated, or just plain rude and won't abide by these attempts to create space.
As a human we can judge the scenario accordingly and create space for our dogs if we feel it's needed. 🙃

After our first lesson I was very much doubting myself as a professional dog trainer, Baldr seriously tested my troubleshooting skills! 😰
Getting Baldr to hold his first sit just wasn't happening 🐕‍🦺... getting him to drop at all, also wasn't happening... it took us 1 hour to finally get Baldr to drop! 😮‍💨 (we skipped the sit entirely for comfort reasons, and moved him to lush grass)

But, Lee stuck it out with me and even schedualed a date for our second lesson! 😅

But that's where the magic began! 🤩
Baldr now sits AND stays on command, drops and stays on command, walks beautifully with the full extent of the lead, waits to be intived to go up and greet people and is just an all round better behaved boy!
I'm so grateful to Lee and Jo for sticking it out with me and putting in the effort to do the homework in between our lessons.

Baldr is such a majestic beast, and now the public gets to see his beauty too because he is so well behaved! 🐕 🥰

Georgia (Great Dane) is Georgia and she is perfect just the way she is, so we left her to be her beautiful self.☺️
(Although my training does accommodate for 2 dog households 😉)

Link and Paolo lapping up the free pats from Louie before getting stuck into our lesson 🥰

Paolo learnt the back gate and front door boundries during this lesson.
Life saving boundaries for this adoreable little Bordercollie.

All dogs should wait the be invited outside their home, not so that we can control or dominate them, but so they don't get hit by a car or run after a cat or bird and get lost.

Safety is paramount! 💚 Dogs are family and we should protect them just like we would our own kids.
