It’s been a challenging (almost) 10 years since we opened our vet hospital doors, but having a great group of people working together towards our common goal of better pet health & thereby happier pet owners, has been truly rewarding. We got the gang together to celebrate a couple of personal milestones last week & we had a good catch up & a few laughs

Determining the gender of baby rabbits can be tricky. We were informed that Issey was female by the Rabbit Sanctuary foster carers, but at the health check, Issey is definitely male!! We check the genitalia (for p***s or v***a) and for te**es in males which can be retracted in young buns, making them hard to find.

Nitro’s owners came up with an ingenious idea to protect his broken dew claw nail with a plastic cap taped to his foot. Today he was sedated & we removed the fractured nail, cleaned the area & re-bandaged it for further protection.

Brave Antonio had a Heart Murmur detected at a routine health check up so he came in for further investigation. He had an echocardiogram (heart ultrasound), blood pressure measurement and blood tests. Luckily his heart condition is not too serious now but we will continue to monitor it over the next few years ❤️
