🐱 HAPPY INTERNATIONAL CAT DAY 🐱

Launched in 2002 by the International Fund for Animal Welfare, International Cat Day takes place annually on August 8. The purpose of this special day is to raise awareness of our feline friends and promote ways to help and protect them. 🫶🏻

Today, we celebrate all the fabulous felines who rule our homes and hearts. 🏡 💕 Cats get the royal treatment on International Cat Day - not that this isn’t already the case on most days! 👑

A big thank you to Bunsen’s mum for making and gifting us this beautiful bunch of flowers! 💐 Bunsen stays with us during the week where he gets treats, pats, toilet walks and LOTS of attention from all the staff who absolutely adore him!!

Meet Dr. Celene Acharya! 🐾🩺🌸

Celene joined the HVH team in July this year as a New Grad. Celene is a Sydney girl who studied at James Cook University in Townsville. When Celene was a little girl, her parents bought her a copy of All Creatures Great and Small which inspired her to pursue a career as a vet. 🥹

Her interest are small animal medicine, soft tissue surgery and animal behaviour. Her interests outside of work include spending time with family, reading a good book, trying amazing restaurants the city has to offer and spending time with her Dalmatian called Keppel! 🐶

Celene looks forward to learning the piano, travelling, working with the HVH team and meeting our lovely clients and their pets at Hornsby Vet Hospital. 😇
