Inner City Strays We’re a group of compassionate cat lovers who are making a difference to the lives of Sydney street cats. Responsible Rehoming Organization number: R251000250

Inner City Strays, Inc is a not-for-profit incorporated association and charity comprising of a team of dedicated, passionate volunteers. Our work involves reducing stray numbers by rescuing young kittens and cats from various places around the inner city area of Sydney. We provide them with health checks and necessary veterinary treatments, foster and socialise them, before adopting them out to g

ood homes through respected agencies or veterinary practices. Currently there is an unknown number of cats living on the streets of Sydney that are constantly at risk of being hit by cars and suffer from untreated disease or injury. These cats form colonies which may comprise of just a few felines to quite a large number. Through no fault of their own they are often persecuted by residents, members of the public, local businesses or various government departments that refuse to see them as a living, sentient animal. As we are all volunteers we would love the the support of cat lovers who want to see life-affirming programs implemented. We need tangible contributions; money, volunteers, cat food, foster carers, as well as community legal, veterinary and local business support. We support the internationally recognised ‘Five Freedoms’ of animal welfare:

Freedom from hunger and thirst
Freedom from discomfort
Freedom from pain, injury or disease
Freedom to express normal behaviour
Freedom from fear and distress

As we work on the frontline we can see that as a society we should be taking proactive steps to prevent further suffering & offer care. Our dedicated team makes the lives of these street cats so much better.

Dotti🧡

We have a soft spot for torties, and it’s easy to see why when you look at Dotti❤️

This beautiful girl was found dumped at McDonald’s in Wetherill Park. Thankfully she’s safe now and enjoying life in foster care.

Dotti is sweet, affectionate, and has that classic tortie personality that keeps everyone entertained. One minute she’s looking adorable, the next she’s making sure she’s the centre of attention😂

We’d really love to see this girl find a family of her own. After everything she’s been through, she deserves a home where she’ll be loved, spoiled, and never left behind again.

Red and Leo are the sweetest brothers❤️🤎

They follow their foster parents around the house, sit beside them on the couch, and make themselves very comfortable on any available lap😂

Red is the cuddler of the two. If he could spend all day being kissed and fussed over, he’d be thrilled.

Leo likes to pretend he’s independent, but somehow he’s always right there too. Close enough for pats, close enough to keep you company, close enough to make sure he doesn’t miss out on anything.

Both boys can be a little shy when meeting new people, but please don’t let that fool you. Once they know they’re safe, they love with their whole hearts.

Red and Leo can be adopted together or separately, but they must go to a home with another friendly cat. Having a feline friend gives them confidence and helps them thrive.

Honestly, we can’t wait for a family to see what their foster parents already see every day — two beautiful boys who just want to belong❤️

How has Lua not been adopted yet?❤️

This gorgeous girl is full of personality.

Lua is curious about absolutely everything. If there’s a cupboard open, she’ll inspect it. If there’s a toy on the floor, she’ll claim it. If there’s something happening in the house, she’ll be right in the middle of it😂

She’s playful, confident, and always keeps her foster family entertained. But once she’s finished exploring, she’s more than happy to settle down and enjoy some company too.

Lua has been patiently waiting for her forever home, and we genuinely can’t understand why. She’s such a beautiful little soul and deserves a family who will adore her as much as we do❤️

Diamond🧡

This gorgeous ginger boy is still looking for his forever home.

Diamond can be a little cautious when he first meets you, but give him a little time and his sweet personality comes shining through. He’s curious, playful, and always wants to know what’s going on.

He’s also a bit naughty😂

One thing we’ve learned about Diamond is that he absolutely loves other cats. He settled in beautifully with Will and Pirate, and now shares his foster home with Turtle and Badger. Having feline friends around really brings out the best in him.

Because of this, we’re looking for a home with another cat or kitten. Diamond thrives with companionship and would love a buddy to play, wrestle, and cuddle with💛

The way Turtle looks after Badger❤️

These two are ridiculously cute together. In this video, Turtle is giving Badger a bath and honestly, it’s enough to melt anyone’s heart.

Badger seems quite happy with the arrangement too😂

They spend their days playing, cuddling, grooming each other, and generally being attached at the hip. It’s hard to tell where one kitten ends and the other begins.

Watching them together is a good reminder that kittens don’t just need food and toys — they need friendship too❤️

This is Nora🧡🖤🤍

Nora is one of those cats who makes you work a little for her trust… and then completely steals your heart❤️

Rescued from a shed in Dulwich Hill with her siblings May and Ziwi, Nora wasn’t exactly convinced that humans were her friends. But day by day she’s learning that being loved is actually pretty nice.

She’s a gentle, sweet girl who likes to take things at her own pace. No rushing, no drama. Just a quiet little soul figuring things out.

The best part? Watching her confidence grow. Every little step feels like a huge win, and we’re so proud of how far she’s come.

And honestly, just look at her. That face🥹

Nora isn’t ready for adoption just yet, but she’s getting there. We’ll keep sharing updates as this beautiful girl continues to blossom.

Meet Fletcher🖤

A few weeks ago, Fletcher spent most of his time sitting quietly on his cat tree, taking everything in.
Now? He’s doing zoomies around the house like a mad man😂

This gorgeous boy has really come out of his shell. He’s a little shy when he first meets people, but once he settles in, he’s an absolute smoocher. Head scratches? Yes please. Belly scratches? Even better.

He’s not really a lap cat (yet), but he loves being close to his people. He’ll sit right beside you and demand scratches, and he’s recently started sleeping on his foster mum’s bed at night❤️

Fletcher has also discovered toys, zoomies, and apparently a talent for comedy. The other day he launched himself off a wall and slid across the floor. His foster mum is still devastated she didn’t catch it on video😂

He loves being brushed, is incredibly gentle, and every day his personality shines a little brighter.

We think Fletcher is ready for his forever home. All he needs is someone willing to give him a little time to settle in and show them just what a lovely boy he is🖤

How is Jade still not adopted?💚

Seriously, we don’t get it!!!

She’s gorgeous, affectionate, playful, and has the sweetest personality. She’s the kind of kitten who can entertain herself one minute and then come looking for cuddles the next.

Rescued from the pound with her sister Tyla, Jade has settled beautifully into foster care and is more than ready for a family of her own.
