Is your puppy barking or being destructive when home alone? I can show you how to move from stressed to relaxed.

Meet Teddy. When I started work with Teddy he was 9 months old and was very uncomfortable when left alone.

I received this from Teddy's human recently.
“Teddy has been doing great, I am able to leave him for hours at a time with no issues... Thank you for your help, we definitely couldn’t have gotten to this point with you!”

I show people how to introduce calm alone time for their puppy or their adult dog. Comment "Separation" below to receive my free guide to get you started.

Mat Training, Place Training, Go to bed, whatever name you give it, for me, this is a no brainer! When my dog sees their mat as a cue to settle, it helps me when I take her to the vet, a cafe, when visitors arrive, when I need my dog to leave me alone because I'm busy, when I take my puppy to puppy class, when I'm travelling and we're staying somewhere new. It helps my dog learn to be calm at the park(when there's no actual mat!) , watching other dogs run around. It is, quite simply, the best foundation skill. And I am going to share with you, over the next week, the steps for success. Let's go!

Did you know you can use a mat or bed as a cue for your to settle? Rather than you having to constantly tell you dog to lie down, stop them jumping when the visitors arrive, you are at the cafe or you are eating dinner, learn how to teach an automatic "attract to the mat', so your dog will actually stay there!
This will change both your lives. 😂

Georgia and I went out this morning and we used pattern games to give her time to get comfortable with the new surroundings. Easy, predictable patterns while she takes in the sights & sounds. Then we're ready for our walk.

New Puppy Owner Tips: Keep Your Puppy Safe and Happy!
Happy New Year puppy lovers! 🎉
Georgia and I had an adventure today at our local café where we decided to work on some training. Georgia, my superstar, was doing great – offering attention, sitting, lying down, and watching the parade of coffee aficionados pass by. 🐶☕️
And then, enter stage left, a lady with her off-leash cavoodle puppy. The little pup dashed over to us, super excited to make a new friend. Now, Georgia is a dog-friendly dog; she absolutely adored the cavoodle. But here’s the thing – what if Georgia wasn't dog-friendly? What if Georgia was a dog that gets worried about other dogs up close? That adorable, playful puppy could have faced a scarring encounter that might have impacted them for years. 😱
We all want a confident, well-socialised puppy. But did you know confidence can be lost in an instant and can take months, even years, to rebuild? So, here are some simple tips to ensure your pup stays safe, confident, and loving life:
• Leash up! Always keep your puppy on a leash in public.
• Hold the reins: Don’t let your puppy run up to unknown dogs.
• Ask first: If you’re considering letting your puppy interact with another dog, always ask the owner first.
• Respect the 'no': If the other owner says no, thank them. They probably just saved your puppy from a terrible experience and you from years of behavioral training.
Let's all make sure our puppies have the best experiences possible. Happy training, everyone! 🐾💕
