🐱 Adopt-a-Stray Happily Ever Afters 🐱

I took in a stray cat that was roaming in my cousin's backyard and four days later she gave birth to four kittens in my wardrobe. Socks is amazingly sweet and loves to be cuddled. She is such a dedicated and loving, capable mum - I have learnt so much from her and all the kittens.
My son and I are so happy spending time with them. Seeing my own son caring for them has been a really good experience for us both. We are definitely more of a complete family with our new family members.
We are even busier now, but it’s happy busy.

Dumpling is doing great, she and Whibbles are still getting along extremely well. I am extremely glad I made the choice to adopt Dumpling, and very grateful to the Cat Protection Society.
Dumpling can be a bit of a troublemaker at times, in classic cat fashion, whenever she sees something on a table, she seems to take it as an attack on her and makes it her mission to immediately knock it down.
Dumpling also loves lying on my desk when I'm working from home, the only issue being that I own a very small desk, so this usually involves her lying directly on the keyboard.

😜 Wanna play? This bubbly boy is full of beans and can’t get enough playtime so if you’ve got a commitment to having fun, Litten is the little kitty for you! A flamboyant feline, Litten will make you grin from ear to ear with his amusing antics and is bound to bowl you over with his energetic purrsonality.

💫 Lively Litten is so looking forward to checking out every corner, under every bed and generally exploring his new forever home, which will be filled with stacks of toys to keep him on his toes. This little firecracker loves to play like there’s no tomorrow and will keep you endlessly entertained with his exuberant zoomies, but he can get a bit overexcited when he’s having fun so would be best suited to a home without any young children. After he’s finished running laps around the house and tired himself out, Litten will be ready to settle down for a leisurely snuggle then the purrs will begin and you will be delighted to discover his cuddly side.

🏡 Once fully settled in his new home Litten may benefit from some supervised outside access during the day but always safely inside at night with you. This little pocket rocket is guaranteed to lighten the mood; you’ll have a loyal best friend and limitless fun with Litten in your life!

❤️ HAPPY ADOPTIVERSARY ❤️

It’s one year since Meera was brought to her furrever home. After spending a day under the couch Meera came out and has been firmly at home ever since.
Meera loves spending time with us and has become used to our comings and goings.
She has hypothyroidism and has a thyroxine pill every morning. We thought this might be difficult, but we soon found that if we dip a teaspoon in Meera’s wet food and roll the pill in the juice, she is happy to eat the pill off the spoon. A pro tip for anyone adopting a cat that needs medication.
Meera has been to the vets twice for blood tests and results have been good.
Meera loves all of us but has a particular affection for our teenage daughter Catherine. She is usually to be found on Catherine’s bed or in her room.
Otherwise Meera, like all cats, likes lying in the sun, sleeping on her bed or looking out the window. She also loves to play with cat toys and ribbons.
Meera’s love for all things does not extend to other cats on her territory. Occasionally a neighbouring cat will wander into our garden and Meera lets them know they are not welcome. Once her territory is established, Meera settles back down. Neighbouring cats stay out and Meera stays in. Perfectly balanced.

On Fridays we share ✨Picture-Purrrfect Meowsterpieces✨ from over the ages. Today we have “The Bridge” (watercolour) painted in 1912 by Swedish artist Carl Olof Larsson (1853–1919). Representative of the ‘Arts and Crafts Movement’‍🎨, a global trend towards decorative fine arts, Larsson is mainly known for his watercolour paintings of idyllic family life 🖼️ But he had a knack for the written word too – he spent his remaining months, after suffering a mild stroke, completing his memoirs 📑🖋️

😻 Happy forever homes 😻

Quick adoption update on our amazing little man Peter Marbles (formally Anchovy).
He’s been such a welcome addition to our home. Incredibly sweet natured and very, very cheeky. We can’t help but laugh at his adorable antics and his creative sleep positions.
Thank you all once again for bringing him into our lives, we couldn’t imagine life without him 😍
