🐐 Meet Gary—the cutest (and loudest!) patient of the day!

Gary visited us for surgery and enjoyed some cuddles with Nurse Clare. 💚

He mostly behaved himself… but as some of you may have heard, he wasn’t shy about asking for more attention. At FULL volume! 📣😂

It’s not just cats and dogs here—we care for and perform surgery on a whole range of animals, goats included!

Vets for all your pets—even the ones who yell for cuddles! 🐾

🦷 7 THINGS YOUR VET SHOULD NEVER SAY ABOUT YOUR PET’S TEETH… WITHOUT A CLOSER LOOK

1. “They’re too old for a dental.”
Age alone shouldn’t decide. Their overall health and an individual anaesthetic assessment matter.

2. “They’re still eating, so they can’t be in pain.”
Pets can keep eating despite painful dental disease.

3. “Bad breath is normal for dogs.”
Persistent bad breath deserves investigation—not just a breath freshener.

4. “It’s only mild dental disease. Wait until it’s worse.”
Early changes are reversible with the right care. That might include home care, professional cleaning and regular reassessment.

5. “A dental chew will fix it.”
Chews can help with prevention, but they won’t fix diseased teeth or replace necessary treatment.

6. “The teeth look fine, so we don’t need dental X-rays.”
Looks don’t tell the whole story. Problems can hide beneath the gumline.

7. “Just scrape the tartar off while they’re awake.”
Removing visible tartar doesn’t address disease beneath the gums. A thorough dental assessment and cleaning require general anaesthesia.

💚 Your pet deserves a comfortable mouth—and you deserve to understand their care.

Missed our August promotion? Save $200 on your pet’s dental procedure this November at Chamberlain Road Veterinary Clinic.
