Fully dismantled an old aviary at the house recently. This area will see new concrete poured for 2 aviaries as well as a sink and storage area. This old aviary will be fully restored for the lorikeets and the alexandrines aviary is also being fully redone and moved into this new area. Then i will be putting in gardens, a table and chairs by the aviaries and fully netting the whole area so i have a nice space to let the birds out and spend time with them. I can not wait until it is all finished!

Haven’t been very active for a while but I have to show you guys this camping spot with bird feeding in the afternoons! It was done very responsibly with only a minimal amount of apple being given out so people can hand feed the lorikeets. Which were very tame and friendly. Feeding the larger cockatoos and galahs was not encouraged and they were happy to be around people but not very interested in interacting which was good to see. The feeding was done for a limited amount of time and everyone left and went back to camp. The camping spot is Cania Gotge in central QLD. Definitely worth a visit.

Magoo 🥰 spending some time in the living area
She has been out a few times now and very much prefers the comfort and familiarity of her cage.
She was a lot better this time around.
We are looking at purchasing a large stand for the living area where she will soon hopefully spend most of her time.
