We're a retreat and urban farm offering short term accomodation, mango orchard, aipiary and function/photo destination set amongst native bushland overlooking the tranquil waters of a historic quarry. Umatah is a 15 acre property situated on the Darling Scarp in Byford. The property is approximately 40 minutes from the Perth CBD and Perth International Airport. Umatah is part of the original State

Brick Works that was closed down in the 1940’s after their excavations hit an underground spring. The property runs on organic principles and has a mango orchard, apiary, vegetable wicking beds plus various other fruit and nut trees. There is a large water-filled quarry, landscaped gardens and endless native bush land to enjoy. Produce:
When in season we produce and sell: - Umatah Mangoes: Spray free and tree ripened - Umatah Honey: 100% pure and natural (raw & cold extracted) - Mike’s Fig Compote: Locally produced using local figs (spray free). Variations include fig; fig, ginger & chilli; fig & ginger. A compote is like jam however it contains far LESS SUGAR and a LOT MORE FRUIT! When available these products will be advertised on this page and within our local community. Venue Hire:
Umatah is the ideal location for small outdoor functions or location photography and film shoots. We would love to hear from you and help you create something truly memorable. Umatah Experiences:
