North Bundaberg Vet Surgery is a full-service veterinary surgery providing a wide range of care for small animals and pets, from cats and dogs to wild native species. Since opening our doors in 2007 with a core team of four staff, we have grown (and continue to grow) our list of services and practice facilities.

Meet Moe! 🐾✨ Moe found himself a little too curious and managed to eat some electrical cable. Luckily, his mum acted fast—he came in for radiographs, which showed the wire in his stomach. ✅ We induced vomiting, and thankfully all the wire was successfully vomited up. Great teamwork, Moe! 💙 If your pet eats something it shouldn’t please contact us.

Meet our handsome brave boy who visited today for his enucleation surgery with Dr Rohan. Last week he saw Dr Tania, then a recommendation was made by an eye specialist to remove the eye. The tissue has been sent to pathology for testing. 🐾🫶 Such a gentle, precious giant. 💙

Last week Dr Tania performed a cystotomy to help a canine patient with bladder stones 🐾🩺💧

Large bladder stones can cause temporary obstruction, while small stones can get stuck in the urethra during urination causing a complete blockage.

What are bladder stones?
They’re hard mineral “rocks” that form in the bladder.

Symptoms can include frequent urination, straining to p*e, accidents/urinating small amounts, blood in the urine, and licking the ge***al area. 🚩
