The Story of East Bundaberg Veterinary Hospital
At East Bundaberg Veterinary Hospital, we believe pets are family.
For many years, our hospital has been caring for the pets of Bundaberg and the surrounding communities, providing compassionate, high-quality veterinary care when it matters most. Whether it’s a puppy’s first vaccination, a routine health check, advanced surgery, or support during life’s most difficult moments, our team is dedicated to helping pets live healthier, happier lives.
In November 2024, the hospital entered an exciting new chapter under the ownership of Dr Tawanda Lee-Roy and Dr Bridgette Gambanga. Their vision was simple – to combine modern veterinary medicine with genuine country-style care, ensuring every client and patient feels welcomed, respected, and supported.
Today, East Bundaberg Veterinary Hospital offers a comprehensive range of services including preventative healthcare, vaccinations, dentistry, diagnostic imaging, in-house laboratory testing, emergency care, wellness programs, puppy preschool, and home visits. We are also proud to provide advanced surgical procedures, including TPLO surgery for cruciate ligament injuries, patella surgery, fracture repairs, complex soft tissue surgeries, and brachycephalic airway (BOAS) surgery to help pets suffering from breathing difficulties. Our experienced team continually invests in education, technology, and facilities to provide the very best care possible.
What truly sets us apart is our people. From our veterinarians and nurses to our reception and support staff, every member of our team shares a passion for animal welfare and a commitment to treating every pet as if they were our own.
We are proud to support our local community through programs such as Operation Wanted, puppy education, community dog walks, and partnerships with local organisations. We understand the special bond between people and their pets, and we are honoured to play a part in that relationship every day.
As we look to the future, our mission remains unchanged: to provide exceptional veterinary care with kindness, compassion, and integrity.
At East Bundaberg Veterinary Hospital, we’re more than a veterinary clinic—we’re a team dedicated to caring for the pets that make our lives complete. Whether your pet needs a routine vaccination, emergency treatment, TPLO surgery, BOAS surgery, or compassionate end-of-life care in the comfort of your home, you can trust our team to be there every step of the way.

🐾 Meet Louie! 🐾

Today we had the absolute pleasure of meeting gorgeous little Louie, a Scottish Fold kitten, who visited us for his very first vaccination and microchip. ❤️

Louie was as brave as can be and took everything in his stride. His sweet personality and adorable face quickly won over everyone at the clinic — especially Nurse Chloe, who was completely smitten! 😻

Starting vaccinations and microchipping early is an important step in keeping your kitten healthy, protected, and safe throughout their life.

Thank you, Louie, for brightening our day. We can’t wait to watch you grow! 🐱💙

Feel free to share your kitten photos in the comments — we love seeing our patients outside the clinic! 📸🐾

East Bundaberg Veterinary Hospital Newsletter

Winter 2026

As the cooler months arrive, the team at East Bundaberg Veterinary Hospital would like to thank all our wonderful clients for their continued support throughout the year so far.

Welcoming Our Growing Team

Our new practice owners, Dr Leroy and Dr Bridgette, have now settled into Bundaberg life and are thoroughly enjoying becoming part of the local community. They look forward to meeting and caring for all of your beloved pets.

Earlier this year we also welcomed Dr Naomi to the clinic. Dr Naomi is available for all your pet care needs and has quickly become a valued member of our veterinary team.

And of course, Dr Randall is still with us and available for appointments every Tuesday and Wednesday.

Operation Wanted Desexing Program – June to August

We are proud to once again be part of the RSPCA Operation Wanted Program running from June through to August.

Pet owners can now register online through the RSPCA website. Once you receive your code, simply contact our clinic and provide the code to our team so we can arrange your pet’s desexing procedure at a reduced cost.

This fantastic program helps support responsible pet ownership while making desexing more affordable for our community.

Bookings are essential and spots fill quickly, so please contact us early to secure your place.

Winter Grooming Appointments Filling Fast

Even though the weather is cooling down, our long-haired furry friends still need regular grooming to stay comfortable and healthy during winter.

Regular grooming helps prevent matting, skin problems, and keeps coats manageable throughout the colder months.

We currently have limited grooming appointments remaining, so please give us a call to secure your booking.

Surgical Services

At East Bundaberg Veterinary Hospital, we offer both routine and advanced surgical procedures to help keep your pets healthy, active, and comfortable.

Our advanced surgical services include stifle surgeries such as TPLO, De Angelis and patella repairs, BOAS surgery for pets experiencing breathing difficulties, fracture repairs, and a range of other complex soft tissue procedures.

With modern equipment and experienced veterinarians, we are proud to provide many advanced surgical options locally, reducing the need for referral and allowing your pet to receive exceptional care close to home.

If you would like to discuss any surgical concerns, please book an appointment with Dr Leroy, Dr Bridgette, or Dr Randall. Our team will be happy to assess your pet and discuss the most appropriate treatment options available.

Home Visits & Home Euthanasia

We understand that some pets and families are more comfortable being cared for in their own environment.

We are able to offer selected home visits as well as home euthanasia services, allowing your beloved pet to remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own home during difficult times.

Please contact our team to discuss availability and how we can help support you and your pet.

Wellness Program Now Available

Our Wellness Program is now up and running again.

The program is designed to cover all of your pet’s preventative healthcare needs over a 12-month period, helping spread the cost of routine care while ensuring your pet stays happy and healthy all year round.

Payment options are available with either monthly instalments or an upfront payment option.

Come in and speak with Lynelle for more information and we can provide you with all the details about how the Wellness Program can benefit both you and your pet.
