What a wonderful afternoon spent at Bethanie Aged Care Dalyellup 🐾❤️

Our dogs absolutely loved visiting the residents, sharing cuddles, pats, smiles and plenty of laughs along the way. It was so special to see the joy these beautiful dogs brought to everyone in the room. From gentle snuggles to showing off their calm manners, the dogs were true stars today.

The residents enjoyed meeting each dog, chatting about their own beloved pets and watching the dogs interact so beautifully throughout the visit. Moments like these are such a reminder of the incredible connection between people and dogs.

A huge thank you to Bethanie Dalyellup for having us. We can’t wait to come back again soon for more tail wags, smiles and special memories. 🐶✨

It is with great sadness and disappointment that K9 Connections will no longer be involved with the puppy preschool classes at Blair Street Vets.

K9 Connections has proudly been part of the Blair Street Vets puppy preschool program for nearly 5 years, and I am incredibly grateful to all the families who chose these classes and supported me as their trainer over that time.

Being excluded partway through a current 4-week block has been very upsetting. Many of you have joined this program to have me as your training. I sincerely apologise to the current clients affected, however this decision was completely out of my control.

Thank you to everyone who has supported K9 Connections throughout this journey. The good news is that our puppy preschool program will be continuing very soon at a new venue, and I’m excited to share more details with you all shortly. 🐾

Confidence building with dogs isn’t about creating the “perfect” dog — it’s about helping them feel safe, capable, and understood in the world around them. 🐾

Every small win matters.
Walking past something scary.
Trying a new obstacle.
Choosing curiosity over fear.
Checking in with their handler instead of shutting down.

Confidence grows through trust, patience, and positive experiences — not pressure. Some dogs are naturally bold, while others need extra time and encouragement, and that’s okay. The goal is progress, not perfection.

The best part about confidence training? It doesn’t just change the dog… it strengthens the bond between dog and handler too. 💙

A confident dog is one that knows:
“I can do this, and my human has my back.”

Confidence building with a rescue dog is one of the most rewarding journeys you can take. 🐾

It’s not about forcing them to “get over” fears or expecting instant trust. It’s about showing them, day after day, that the world can be safe again. Small wins become huge milestones — taking a treat gently, choosing to come closer, wagging their tail a little more, or bravely exploring something new.

Rescue dogs often carry stories we’ll never fully know, but with patience, consistency, and kindness, they learn that they are finally home. Confidence grows when they are allowed to move at their own pace, make choices, and succeed in environments where they feel supported.

Training isn’t just about obedience — it’s about communication, trust, and helping a dog discover they are capable. Every encouraging word, every calm moment, and every tiny success helps build a stronger, happier dog.

The most beautiful thing about rescue dogs? Watching them realise they are loved, safe, and enough exactly as they are. ❤️
