Seeking Foster Carer!🙏

This sweet girl, Heidi, was found tied to a pole at the Yass Community Centre, but thankfully a kind-hearted community member spotted her and brought her to safety. Heidi is now safe at the shelter, but we need your help!🐕

Heidi is microchipped, though the information isn’t up to date, so we’re hoping to find her owner. Legally, we must keep her for 14 days before we can look for her a new home, meaning she can be rehomed after 16 April 2025.

Heidi is a gentle, beautiful dog with a loving nature. However, she does get a bit anxious when left alone, and we would love for her to have more than just the office to hang out in. 🏡

We're seeking a kind soul, who has time to spare, to foster Heidi until a permanent home is found for her. If you're interested in giving her a warm, loving home during this time, or if you're even considering adoption, we'd love to hear from you! ❤️

Please note, if Heidi’s owner is found before 16 April 2025, she will need to be returned to them.

If you can help or want to know more about Heidi, please contact Council at 6226 1477.

Thank you 🙏

🐕Found Dog – Seeking Owner of Young German Shepherd🐕

We found a beautiful young female German Shepherd tied to a pole at the Yass Community Centre on Monday. We believe her name is Heidi. Unfortunately, her microchip details are not up-to-date, and she is not currently registered, so we are unable to identify her owner.

If the owner is not located within 14 days, Heidi will be available for adoption. If you are interested in giving her a forever home, please leave your contact details with the Council.

But that’s not all - being a Ranger means a variety of responsibilities, including managing compliance with companion animal laws, investigating abandoned vehicles, illegal dumping, and other environmental issues; plus helping the public and responding to customer enquiries.
