Hi, us here again... We are once again asking for the support of the Bendigo community.
Currently in our care are 6 Boxer x pups, who would much rather be in homes than here with our smelly staff.
We are seeking either of the following options:
Temporary foster carers or foster to adopt homes.
If yourself or someone you know may be interested please get in contact with us!
If you are not interested in fostering pups but want to help foster kittens/cats please still enquire, as we will need your help shortly as kitten season is upon us!

Attention EVERYONE.
From Friday the 14/11/25 until Sunday the 16th BARC will be reducing the adoption cost of medium to large breed pooches that are currently up for adoption by 1/2!
The dogs who are throwing their hat in the ring to score themselves a new home are as follows

All of which will be adopted out with the following: Des*xed, microchipped, vaccinated and treated for parasites plus council registration for COGB.
Please note some of these awesome dogs are currently in foster while awaiting their permanent homes so bookings are necessary 🙂

We would like to re-introduce you to Mushroom who has been with BARC for quite some time now, we have been fortunate to put her into a temporary foster home while we try find her a permanent home.
Mushroom is excelling making a house a home!
Mushroom is a people person, dog social but solo home (she rules the roost)
Mushroom loves to warm your feet whilst you work at your desk or eat your meal (she really is a family kinda gal)
Mushroom is house trained and has learnt other basic commands.

It is with great dissapointment that we have turned off comments to this post.
As stated, we are looking for a foster home while this dog recovers from a poor start in life. He has been vet assessed, and we are giving him what oppotunity we can at a healthy and happy life.
So far Maverick is responding very well to our treatment and is putting on weight!! We ask that anyone who has a medical history on the dog CONTACT US rather than contributing negative comments about euthanasia 🙏

After not having the best start in life, skinny pup Maverick is seeking a foster -to-adopt home where he can put on some weight and become a strong healthy pup.
Estimated to be 10 months old, but developed more like a 16-week-old pup, this small Rottie mix may just need a healthy diet (provided by BARC) and a spot on the couch (provided by you).
While we will consider a temporary foster home, we would rather see Maverick move into a family where he can stay permanently - and trust us, once you fall in love with this little guy, you won't want to give him back.

The "Ragdoll" domestic short haired tabby cat is now available for adoption!
While his microchip details did cause a stir in our community, unfortunately they didn't lead to any owner coming forward, so "Rag Doll" is now looking for his new home!

How cute is this little guy 🥰😍🥰
His new owner isn't taking any risks of losing his beloved pooch, so he brought him to us to implant a FREE microchip and to get FREE Council registration.
Now this furry caramel marshmallow has permanent identification linking him to his new hooman, so should he go missing, he can qu**ky be reunited. And because he is registered with council, if he makes his way to BARC he can be reclaimed for FREE!

All cats and dogs are temperament tested and BARC staff will work towards ensuring your new pet is a suitable match for you, your family, and your lifestyle. All cats and dogs available for adoption are microchipped, wormed, des*xed and vaccinated.
