We are a 4th generational farming family, with property at Powlett Plains and along the Loddon River between Bridgewater & Serpentine. As an extension to our farming property we purchased Sandhurst Stockfeeds in January 2015. It is extremely important to us to maintaining an honest, reliable & friendly service to our customers. Our Staff:

r & Purchasing, Sam is our Store manager & sales, Haydon is our Delivery driver and Rod is our customer service & maintaining all stock in the warehouse. About the Stock:

We specialise in a huge variety of nutritional feed, herbal & medical products and advice for all equine disciplines, cattle, sheep, alpaca, pig poultry, dog, cat, bird, rabbit & guinea pigs. We are also very competitive on all types grains, have 5 different lines of chaff & stock a variety of Clover, Lucerne, Oaten, Rye, Rhodes & Teff grass hay, Bedding & Pea straw. Producing our own range of feed “Lightning Steed”, a scientifically developed blend of grains, including a mineral pellet Thoroughbred, to provide all your horses essential vitamin & mineral requirements. Country Park, Tuff Rock, E Pro, Ranvet, Kentucky, Kohnke’s, Natrakelpare just some of our nutrient, supplement and medical suppliers. Orders over $200 are delivered free in and around Bendigo and as far North as Shepparton, along the Calder Highway, South to Riddles Creek, East to Kilmore and West to Lockwood – conditions apply. We are also looking to expand further West towards the Maldon, Daylesford districts.

This week with our 'Meet the Team' series, say Hello to the one and only, Mittens!

Office Supervisor

Mitten's came with the business when we purchased it in 2015. She has been a very important part of the Sandhurst team, as she was our original vermin control officer. As she has now moved into her retirement era, she has relocated into the luxury of the office and become the new office supervisor.

She takes her job very seriously making sure to greet everyone when they come in of a morning and has taken to tricking us into thinking she hasn't been fed so she gets second and third breakfast! She still shows us her youthful side when the random zoomies take ahold and only try to pat her on one of her good days.

This week in our 'Meet the Team' series, say Hello to Ginger & Cinder - Vermin Control Officers, The diabolical duo!

Ginger and Cinder are the highest ranked employees in the warehouse. Often assessing every pallet and pack of hay as it arrives, they take their job very seriously as the only time you will see a mouse in the shop is one they have caught.

Ginger is the Silent Seaker, he will pop out without a sound and enjoys being the local traffic controller, often getting into the way of vehicles and taking his leasurely time to move.

Cinder aka Sir Meowsalot is the class clown, often getting himself into cat-astrophic situations, therefore needing a helping hand. He enjoys serenading everyone in the store with what he thinks is the voice of a soprano singer.

If you see the boys, be sure to give them some attention as they both crave affection!

This week in our 'Meet the Team' series, we're introducing Allan 😁

Allan is a great addition to our business, taking over from Anna's truck driving. Spending his hours heading all across the state picking up feed from many different Mills and Farms.

We are very lucky, with the many years of Interstate Trucking experience, Allan knows all the ins and outs of buisiness logistics. He decided after the long days on the road he wants a simpler freight job to spend more time with his friends, family and Hobbies.

If you see Allan on the road be sure to give him a smile and a wave!

It's that time again....'Meet the Team!'👋

Shannon is a new member of our team starting in June 2025 as Administration/Purchasing Officer. Having been thrown in the deep end doing stocktake in her first week, she has picked up all aspects of her roll very quickly.

With Shannons background in many different areas of the horse industry, she brings a great knowledge of everything horse related from breeding, showing, western, racing and even some veterinary nursing.

On weekends you often find Shannon spending time with her Quarter Horses and 2 Bull Terriers. She also enjoys all things outdoors with great company!

You'll often be greeted with Shannons bubbly personality and you can be sure to have a laugh with her on the phone. She has quickly become the office prankster. Make sure to say hello when you see her in the shop!

This week, in our 'Meet the Team' series, we have Rogan!

Rogan - became part of our team in July 2024. Since then he has shown his value to the business through hard work, efficiency and motivation to get the job done.

With a welcoming Smile and his unique hats, Rogan has a great knowledge of our products to assist you meeting your animals needs.

Often Rogan enjoys heading away on hunting and fishing trips up north with family, but if hes not away, he also has a a lot of fun online gaming with his brother and friends.

Growing up in a country town and working for his families business, Rogan has a great approach to teamwork and keeping a high standard in his work and in the store. You will also regularly see Rogan in our delivery truck so be sure to give him a wave! 😁
