Huge shoutout to Dr Bryce for representing Bathurst Central Animal Hospital at the Scots AllSaints Careers Colloquium Night

Bryce spent the evening chatting with students about life in the veterinary industry, different career pathways and what working in a regional clinic is really like. We absolutely love being able to support local students who are curious about careers in the veterinary industry.
Anyone who’s met Bryce knows how friendly, approachable and professional he is, so he was the perfect person to have there representing our clinic 😊
Thanks to Scots AllSaints College for having us along and for putting together such a great event for the students and community. We had a fantastic night! And a special thanks again to Dr Bryce for attending and representing all of us and the clinic.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone for being so patient and understanding with us over the past week while we’ve had a couple of sick vets off 🤒

It’s definitely been a bit chaotic behind the scenes at times and we know rescheduling appointments or longer wait times can be frustrating, especially when you’re worried about your pets, so we really do appreciate everyone being so kind to the team while we’ve been trying to juggle it all.
The staff have honestly been working their butts off to keep things moving and make sure everyone’s pets are still being looked after as best we can.
We’ve said it before but we really are lucky to have such a supportive bunch of clients 🥰

🚨 MICROCHIP REMINDER 🚨

Little Nelson visited the clinic this week for his puppy vaccination and microchip,
And while he was here being brave, he wanted to help remind everyone just how important it is to keep your pet’s microchip details up to date too!
We regularly have lost pets brought into clinic that are microchipped, but unfortunately the phone number attached is disconnected or the address is years old 😔
A microchip can only help reunite animals with their families if the information linked to it is current!

Updating your details is quick and can now be done online through the NSW Pet Registry

Simply head to:
https://petreg.nsw.gov.au

From there you can:
✔️ Create or log into your account using your MyServiceNSW details
✔️ Update phone numbers and addresses
✔️ Transfer ownership details
✔️ Check your pet’s information is correct and current

If you’re unsure whether your pet’s details are up to date, our team is always happy to scan their microchip and help point you in the right direction 💙

💙 P.S. Best for Pet members receive puppy vaccinations and microchipping included as part of their membership benefits!

Poor little Mallie 🐾💔

Miss Mallie got herself into a little tiff with her sibling earlier this week and unfortunately hasn’t been feeling the best since. Her mum and dad have been very worried, so our team has her all snugged up, cosy and under close watch while she gets some extra TLC,
Complete with blankets, toys and her own little iPad entertainment setup,Her mum mentioned she loves watching crime documentaries and aquarium videos at home, so naturally we had to make sure her hospital stay included her favourite shows.
We’re all hoping this sweet girl is back to her cheeky self and keeping her sibling on their toes again very soon 🤍

P.S. Before anyone worries the iPad was moved to a safer location shortly after this photo was taken for the night viewing session 🥰

Squishy was very brave for his desexing and deciduous puppy canine teeth extraction on Monday 🐾💙
Now he’s home recovering… and honestly looking very much like a little mogwai with those giant fluffy ears 😍.
The cone somehow makes them look even bigger and we are completely obsessed!
He’s doing really well, getting lots of cuddles, snacks, and dramatic naps.

Little reminder too our Best for Pet Wellness Plans give members 20% off desexing, plus heaps of other perks to help make pet care a little easier

HOME VISITS WOULD THIS INTEREST YOU?

Bathurst Central Animal Hospital is exploring the idea of introducing home visits for suitable routine appointments and compassionate at home care one day a week and would be for small animal care ( we are unable to provide large animal services) and in our local area to keep costs down.

This could include:
• Vaccinations
• Medication/medical rechecks
• Basic consults
• End-of-life care in the comfort of home 🤍

We know some pets (and owners!) can find getting into clinic stressful or difficult especially elderly clients, anxious pets, multi-pet households or those with transport limitations so we’re exploring whether this is something our community would benefit from

At this stage we’re simply seeking expressions of interest while we work through things like Service areas, Appointment suitability, Scheduling, and Pricing

Before we move forward, we’d love to know if this is something our clients would actually use.

POLL 👇
🐾 Yes — I’d definitely use this service

🐾 No — I’d still prefer coming into clinic

Feel free to comment below with:
• What services you could use
• Areas/suburbs you’d want covered
• Any feedback or suggestions

Please note this service would be for routine/suitable cases only and not emergency or hospital level care.

🌺 ANZAC Day – Lest We Forget 🌿

Today, we pause to remember and honour the brave men and women past, present, and fallen ,who have served our country with courage and sacrifice.

We also take a moment to recognise the incredible animals who stood beside them and those who continue to serve today. The loyal dogs, horses, and companions who played such important roles, giving their unwavering devotion. 🐾

At Bathurst Central Animal Hospital, this day always reminds us of the powerful bond between humans and animals built on trust, loyalty, and unconditional love, even in the most challenging times.

We thank:
• Those who served and continue to serve
• Those who made the ultimate sacrifice
• The families who support and stand beside our veterans
• The animals who served and those still serving today

Their bravery, sacrifice, and loyalty will never be forgotten.

Lest we forget.🌿

This week we’re celebrating Veterinary Receptionist Week! While our nursing team helps out on reception, our main wonder woman on the desk is Helena !
Veterinary reception is so much more than answering phones and booking appointments , it’s constant multitasking, juggling clients and consults , supporting the team and myself! And keeps the day moving like clockwork .

Helena does all of that, while also navigating life as a new mum 🧡And on top of that, she’s an absolute wizard with Excel and Canva often making the impossible look easy.!!

Her calm nature, compassion and work ethic make a difference every day, and we’re very lucky to have her. Please help us celebrate Helena this Veterinary Receptionist Week
