Thank you to everyone who enquired about Bubbles… he is now sold to an awesome home ❤️
Bubbles (OTTB Lucky in the West) is a 16.1hh, 6 year old gelding by Lucky Street.
CONS
* windsucks (controlled by collar)
* Has a wall eye (only cosmetic but mentioning it now as I know some people hate it)
* Absolutely hates racehorse type living - so no small yards etc - he gets anxious and doesn’t cope at all. This is a non negotiable unfortunately. He needs a herd and space or he stresses. Yards for comps etc would he fine but not for daily living.
PROS
* he is a fun, safe and easy ride at home or at new places
* gorgeous personality
* is the same to ride after a day off or months off
* Easy to do anything with C/S/F
* Can paddock with anyone… mares, foals, colts, geldings etc
* Happy to plod around with more inexperienced riders but will also step up for more experienced riders
* Loves food and is an easy keeper
* Nice, solid type
* Good feet but we’ve put front shoes on him while coming back in to work
* Is showing lots of scope with his jumping. We’re taking it slow and he’s currently confident at around 65cm but training 80-90.
* Has nice paces and is willing enough to ride around the arena doing basic dressage.
SUITABLE FOR:
* riding schools - I think he’d like the lifestyle
* Someone looking for a fun, low level adult rider/pony club horse to bring up the grades, or to hang around the lower ones
* someone with ability/confidence to bring on OTTB on
* Farm life with occasional rides
NOT SUITABLE FOR:
* beginners with no guidance/help
* Someone wanting an already made eventer/SJer/dressage horse… he’s not got the training for it yet and is priced accordingly.
